Half Moon Lake, Barnstead, NH vacation house on water front with firepit,

"We had a lovely time at Half Moon lake. The house is spacious with lots of comfortable spaces to lounge and relax and drink in the unbelievable view. The photos don't do it justice, it is so tastefully decorated and put together. It is both beautiful and incredibly comfy. The kitchen might look simple at first glance but it is one of the most well stocked and functional kitchens I have ever experienced at a holiday rental. All around the property there are thoughtful touches to make the stay extra special. The lake access is amazing and the lake itself has warm clear water. Floating around if you are very still you can see the fish swimming below. We used the Kayaks provided and spent all week in and out of the water. Having a powerhouse grill made cooking meals easy and having a Hannaford close by for shopping was a real benefit. Sweet Caroline's coffee shop has incredible pastries and coffee and Jack's pizza was surprisingly excellent considering its location inside a gas station convenience store. The drive from the Boston area is so quick to be in such a peaceful and pretty area. I can't recommend this lake house enough. I hope we get to come back and stay!"

"We had such a wonderful stay and made so many great family memories here! We loved spending our evenings playing family games together on the porch and in the living room, and our days kayaking and enjoying the lake. One of our favorite surprises was having a farm with fresh corn right next door and another farm with fresh meat and eggs just a minute up the road. We made some of the most delicious farm-fresh dinners!The house was comfortable, peaceful, and the perfect home base for our New Hampshire getaway. We’ll definitely look back on this trip with so many happy memories!"
