Unwind on Beautiful Lake Ethel in Otter Tail County, MN!

Come and enjoy all that Lake Ethel has to offer--one of the state's clearest lakes, great fishing, great boating, waterskiing, personal watercraft riding, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboating, sailboating and much more. Lake Ethel has a public access and a sandy, weed-free bottom only chest deep at the end of the dock. This sturdy cabin is located just feet from the shore of beautiful Lake Ethel. It can sleep 4 comfortably in two bedrooms, and 2 more on a futon. This cabin has a 3/4 bath, kitchen and living room space. Immerse yourself in all of Lake Ethel's beauty by stepping onto a full deck or enjoy it from inside through one of two lakeside glass patio doors. Cabin is equipped with wi-fi and we are licensed as an Otter Tail County rental property. We also provide a water treatment system to purify the drinking water.

Perfect Summer Getaway!

Our family of five had a wonderful week at this cabin! The cabin was very clean and the lake was beautiful! The beach was sandy and the water was clear! We enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat daily and of course spent many hours just floating on the lake. Bruce was very welcoming and friendly during our stay. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

Ethel Get-Away 2023

We had a very good time. Very nice, clean cabin & the lay out was convenient for the 2 of us. Close to the Lake with beautiful scenery. The Hosts are very nice people. Would recommend this cabin.

Little getaway

Great place to stay. Breathtaking view of lake and autumn trees. Had a great time fishing. Loose dogs was a little concern but overall was not too much of problem, with my own dog. We would definitely stay again, next season.

Perfect place to relax

The property was in a great location with great views of the lake. The deck with table and picnic table, the big swing, the grill and the fire pit made enjoying the lake easy. And being able to use the boats was a great addition. Just a great place to stay. We will be back.

Lake Ethel cabin

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this charming Lake Ethel cabin. It’s a true quintessential Minnesota cabin. We had a wonderful time, the neighbors and property owner were extremely nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Next time though it will be in the summer because the lake was so clean and clear with a beautiful sandy bottom, great for swimming.

Fun in the sun!!!

What’s not to love at this vacay stay!!!! Even though they are people living in the houses, . is very quiet and the house is very clean as always. We plan to stay there for my birthday as we did for my husband‘s birthday for the second time there and the restaurants around Ottertail are wonderful. Very tasty.

Charming “lake house” in an intimate residential area. Stunning Lakeview with farmland all around. By”not your usual resort” I mean very quiet. The owners live next door. So very personal attention. Thank you for 4 delightful weeks!

Perfect Getaway from the Cities

On Lake Time

Beautiful, relaxing spot for a week at the lake with my college-aged daughters. The lake was perfect for swimming, floating, and kayaking, and the cabin was clean and comfortable. The deck, just a few steps from the lake, was absolutely delightful. We wished we could have stayed longer.
