Loved this place, ideal family rooms with kids bit being a separate room....breakfast was amazing as was the meal in the evening....weather was terrible due to storm Dennis, will definitely be returning sk we can enjoy the great location. 5 stars from me

Great location for exploring the countryside of East Sussex, Kent and Hastings, Battle, Rye. It was noted how nice and freshly decorated the building was and spotlessly clean. Very quiet too and in the grounds of the gold course away from the busy A21 road from M25 to Hastings. Room 14 was particularly large with a king size bed, medium size flat screen TV, comfortable leather sofa overlooking the club house and golf course. The bathroom was great too with two sinks and a deep bath tub with a nice array of White Company toiletries for a pampering yourself. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was very good quality, the sausages were very high standard and mushrooms were so tasty. Overall a great stay and I'd definitely stay again on my travels around Sussex.

Thoroughly enjoyed the to nights there oh my wife. Could not fault the excellent staff, accommodation and food. The facilities for anyone playing golf are great, so very helpful in the pro shop. Can definitely recommend this as a stopover, or for longer stays.

Perfect retreat

We used it as our base to visit a local vineyard for a wine tour and to visit Hastings. We are not golfers and found the hotel to be very relaxed and not at all pompous like some golf clubs are. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Room spotlessly clean. Couldn’t fault it.

Large well appointed twin room with great views over the golf course.High standard of cleanliness, room furnishings and decoration. It was a lovely place to stay and absolutely perfect for my elderly mother with poor mobility. Staff were lovely , kind and helpful and made us feel very welcome with mum in her wheelchair.We had dinner in the clubhouse restaurant, good choice and value for money including daily specials and all our meals were freshly prepared and of top quality and presentation.Breakfast was also top quality. We would certainly stay here again.

Stop over while visiting Carr Taylor Vineyard

Lovely big room with solid wood furniture and view of golf course. 400m from club house where reception and breakfast is but makes room quieter. Staff extremely helpful. Large portions at breakfast and good food. No fixed shower in room but shower head and bath. Will definately stay again of in area. Only a 10 pound taxi ride to Hastings.

Good nights sleep, nice grounds

Odd layout to the grounds - but once you work out you check in at the bar and then go back to the outbuiding for the rooms it’s very comfortable. Lots of room, amazing bed and real bath.

This was my first visit and I will stay there again as the food was amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I asked for a few changes on my meal and nothing was too much trouble, the lamb was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. The room was pleasant with lovely White Company toiletries, the only thing missing was a bottle of water. 10/10

We stayed overnight and overall it was a very good exeperience. The hotel is based on the grounds of the golf reort, while the post code leads to a place half a mile away - this was probably the worst part of our trip. Another disappointment was very poor WiFi connectoin. The signal was rather strong but it felt like it was working over capacity as it was still nearly impossible to connect. STill, the rooms very spotlessly clean, rather spacious (the family room had actually separate small kids bedroom which came in quite handy). It is a quiet place aimed mostly at people coming to the local golf school or just enjoying the course. The nightlife is limited to the bar and TV in the room. The reception is done by the restaurant staff (who were very friendly and helpful) - and the restaurant is based a few dozen yards away in a separate building. It makes the nights quiet., but one needs to go outside for a breakfast or for a checkin/checkout.
