"My husband, my two daughters and I stayed in 2 rooms for 1 night at the Holiday Inn Express Amherst- Lockport on South Transit. The hotel was clean, staff is friendly, the breakfast was very nice…surprisingly for an Express 2.5 star. The Pool was a bit on the small size but no one was in the water so it was great! There were many parking spaces. Our problem was the extreme noise coming from the A/C unit and road noise. The South Transit Rd felt like a highway… excessive noise! The hotel needs to fix these two major issues. My daughter’s heard loud music til 5 am…I wish they would have told my husband and I but they did not want to bother us. If it wasn’t for the noise I’d give them 10+!"

"Service and location are the main benefits of this place. It offers basic accommodation and there is nothing wrong with it hotel. But the building is not new and it is hard for them to maintain. The cleaners do their work but the carpets and tiling etc is close to their lifespan. Mini fridges would be a nice addition. A chair or two would also make things better"

"The host was very receptive and accommodating. The property was accurately described and illustrated in photos. I had an extended stay, the amenities were adequate and the property location was central for my needs. The steps to access and two small interior steps could be an issue if one has mobility issues. Would do a repeat stay."
