"The room was a bit minimalist but perfectly adequate for my needs & the price. The room was spotless & an extra pillow & lighter blanket was provided upon request as it was quite hot. There's no air-con but the shutters keep the worst of the sun off the room & the window opens. 2 bottles of water (plain & sparkling) were provided every day plus the biscotti/macaroni every evening. "Beautiful property. Restaurant was great. All staff very friendly and helpful. Only problem we had to leave for airport at 4:30 am. I did not want to stand at train at that hour of the morning so need to call taxi. Shuttle service did not start til 6:00am. I was not aware of that"

"The Hotel Baslertor is located in the beautiful town of Muttenz just outside Basel. The hotel has a great staff, updated rooms, wonderful location with walkable shoppes and restaurants, and the transit system can get you anywhere quickly. Stay here when visiting Basel for a real small village swiss experience. "

"Great location - very easy to either walk or take a tram. The apartment was clean and in good nick. Kitchen had enough equipment and was clean. Although the websit said they would clean only once a week, the cleaners came everyday with new towels and tidyed up. The apartment we had faced the main road and as it was HOT, we were exposed to the noise of the street when the windows were open. Definitely a good place. "
