Top Barnum City Park Hotel Reviews
3BR Farmhouse Retreat Country comfort with farm animals, trails & cozy spaces
10/10 Excellent
"This place is a real gem, especially for the price we got it for. Everything was clean and fully stocked when we arrived. Loved the decorations everywhere, especially the sun room out back. There were many nice to haves like firewood and extra foodstuffs in the pantries. The documents that were sitting on the table gave all the information we needed, contacting the owner was pretty straightforward and efficient. My group loved meeting the goats outside haha. Everyone found a comfortable place to stay, we didn't have to use any of the living rooms for sleeping but some friends brought cots we utilized. The AC was a bit finicky at first, but we realized a vent was closed in one of the rooms. Overall this is definitely a stay that I would recommend to anyone visiting the Duluth/Cloquet area."

Postcard Cabins Kettle River, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
10/10 Excellent
"This place was beautiful! It was just what we needed. It gave our family a chance to connect with nature but still have the luxury of an actual bed and shower. The place was perfectly spaced out and the amenities provided were great. Our kids loved the s'mores kit. We stayed here for close proximity to Banning State Park but on the way to our cabin we saw a mama doe waiting for her baby, which will be quite memorable for the whole family. We will be back!"
Lakefront Beach Bungalow - Retreat & Relax - Kayaks, Fire pit, Tree Swings!
10/10 Excellent
"Jennifer has thought of everything to create a truly wonderful stay. Our favorite parts were playing games in the sunroom and kayaking in the lake. The home was perfectly stocked and clean with some nice extra touches. Thank you Jennifer!"
Northwoods Inn LLC
8/10 Good
"Place looks pretty rough from the outside, but the room was clean and felt fresh and inviting inside. View of the lake is minimal - it's pretty far away and across the highway, but still nice. The girl who checked me in was cute, friendly and helpful. There are NO amenities, lol. "
Cozy cabin in the woods with peaceful views - 4 bedrooms!

Whispering Pines-HOT TUB-SAUNA-GOLF-FISH-SWIM
10/10 Excellent
"Came in with our family of 8, ages 9-22. The availability of kayaks, paddle boards, fire pit, hottub and sauna kept everyone busy. Cooked all of our meals, as the kitchen is nicely stocked. The cleanliness of the house and property were top line! We pulled our own boat up, and although the water by the dock is shallow, we had no issues keeping it docked for the week. Caught a nice amount of fish...crappie and bass were keepers. 17" bass was our largest catch. Daily drives into Duluth to see all the sites made the trip busy, but well worth the time!"
Charming cabin in delightful Duquette with AC near miles of ATV trails.
8/10 Good
"All in all I had a nice time at the cabin. It's very rustic. It's well kept and fairly clean aside from some mouse droppings in the corners. It's in the woods so perhaps to be expected. There are plenty of dishes etc to make your stay comfortable. My dogs loved running around the yard. The queen bed was very comfortable. Cons: The air conditioner is old and barely works. If the temperature is above 68 it does not do anything. I came during a very hot point during the summer and it was a little disappointing to have it not working. No matter what you do, you can't get it to say engaged for very long. I turned it off, turned it down, changed to various settings hoping it would kick back in to no avail. The fans provided help somewhat. We had some very uncomfortable nights. While the bed is extremely comfortable, it was wrapped in flannel sheets which did not help the situation. I had a hard time getting decent rest due to the heat. The bathroom wasn't terrible for a camping situation, especially since an outhouse would have been much worse. Going outside every time it gets a little old. The hard water stains are a little gross but it's a cabin in the woods. The water in the cabin is very hard. I recommend bringing a lot of bottled water with you! It's fine to wash fruit or take a shower but I didn't drink it and I did not even want the dogs to drink it. In the end I would return but not until that AC gets replaced!"
Ferguson Farmhouses on Oak Lake with 176 feet of shoreline in Kerrick Minnesota.
10/10 Excellent
"This farmhouse is a very special place! You may not notice it immediately from the outside, but when you walk in, you will see all of the beautiful woodwork and special original features that make this property so beautiful. There was so much to enjoy here from the well stocked kitchen, a gas grill and a Blackstone grill for cooking, a screened porch facing the lake, a screened in gazebo outside which provided shade and dry cushions throughout our stay, two fire pits (one near the cabin and the other near the lake), plus kayaks and paddle boards for enjoying time on the water. We loved the busy hummingbirds at the feeders and the eagle sightings, plus the loon calls in the evening. It is quiet and peaceful, with so many comforts from blankets and beach towels to dry firewood. There is plenty of room inside and outside for people of all ages. The host, Ron, was very good to communicate with me before and during our stay. This is a gem and we made many happy family memories in our time here grilling, eating, playing cards, floating on the calm lake, soaking up the sun, building a campfire for smores, picking a DVD for movies after dark, and more. Thank you!"
