Creekside Delight
From the moment we arrived Hans the host welcomed us and gave us a quick overview of Maybelline. Even though Maybelline is technically off grid, everything you need is there. The sound of the rushing water lulled us to sleep each night and the sun peaking in from the mountains behind us was a lovely way to wake up each morning. It's a beautiful and serene space with plenty to explore close by. I booked my stay for the first week in April because I was attending a class in Weaverville that week. Just know that it's still quite chilly in thses parts at that time and that makes being off grid even more interesting. Thank you Hans. Your big heart is one of the memories I will always cherish. 💛

Perfect getaway! Beautiful property next to the creek, secluded but close enough to nearby towns!
We spent the weekend here- 2 adults and 1 dog. It was great! We spent time inside maybelline only during the night, we spent the day out in town or on the creek. There’s a nice place for a fire and he has some wood there. The bathroom is outside of the camper- there’s a great view from that window! You can’t beat the location. We went into Asheville and Weaverville during the day, they are not too far away. We loved the stay!

This place is everything
Perfectly situated and incredibly cozy. The host is a gem and you can tell how much effort was put into making the Maybelline such a delightful escape. There are two cats that come to visit and they might be the best cats I’ve ever met. I genuinely loved it here.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing.
Hans was an excellent host and very kind. He has 2 cats that were so sweet and one of them liked to come in the camper and sleep with me which I didn't mind at all. The sound of the big creek was so wonderful and the fire pit was in the perfect place. Will definitely make another visit!

Our weekend stay
The owner of the property was very helpful on top of any questions or needs. Super friendly and explained how everything worked. The camper was cozy just perfect for me and my wife. With the views of the mountain side and the beautiful stream outback it was exactly the weekend we needed. If your looking for an off the grid style experience it was pretty cool. Solar/gas powered setup brought it back to the basics and gave us a truly wonderful experience. Thank you for the much needed r&r.

Perfect vacation for glampers
Hans was such a wonderful host and I was so happy to get to stay at this magical place he has created. When we arrived he greeted us and explained how to run all the equipment since the camper is off-grid. He also told us about all the different hiking/scenic spots in the area. The site is in the perfect location far from any touristy areas but close enough to beautiful views. We enjoyed our time here so much we will most likely be coming back in the fall.
