About this property
Total Seclusion, 50 Private Acres, 2000 Ft Riverfront, Mountain Cabin, Hot Tub
Total Seclusion and Privacy, No Neighbors or Public Roads, Riverfront Cabin, Dog Friendly, Private Trails from the Cabin, Hot Tub, Fireplace, 25 Feet Above Index Creek, Fully Equipped, Wifi and Smart TV.
Patrons say the cabin and almost 50 acres property feels like Shangri-La with its quietness, serene beauty, total privacy and seclusion, no neighbors, and the only road is the cabin private road. This is an amazing beautiful locale where motion pictures are made. You have discovered the perfect getaway near Stevens Pass to inspire your mind and soul.
There is a large hot tub on the deck with stunningly beautiful view of the river and forest and Mt. Index. There is also a firepit above the river, and a large view deck over the river. The cabin is fully equipped and furnished, so all you need to bring is change of clothes and food to prepare in the full-size modernized kitchen or on the propane BBQ over the river with propane provided. There is electric heat, and wood burning fireplaces that add beauty and charm. Firewood is provided.
Accommodation highlights are unlimited wifi, smart tv, Blu-ray/dvd player, an outdoor firepit above the river, and a hammock seasonally at the river edge. In the modern bathroom for your convenience is body soaps, towels, and hair dryer. If you wish to dine out, nearest restaurant is a 10 minute drive.
The cabin and property is nestled in a forested valley above 2,000 feet of Index Creek that dances in waterfalls over river boulders in the middle of 50 privately owned acres. The property goes up the side of a mountain, up the side of another mountain, and up and down the valley. The view from the deck and the floor-to-ceiling windows of the mountains and forested valley, river with sparkling waterfalls, and huge sky is magnificent with Mt. Index at one of the valley and Mt. Baring at the other end. This historic cabin was designed in 1929 by a renowned architect as a hunting lodge for senators and was used for this purpose until the 1960s, when it was purchased by someone who owned it until the mid 1990s. The current owner is now sharing this preserved facility and land with you.
There is large view deck above the river with comfortable chairs, propane BBQ and propane provided, and picnic table.
There are wonderful private trails on this property leading to waterfalls and cozy coves at the water edge. Patrons says their dogs leap in the air with delight with their freedom on the trail. Swim in swim holes, fish for trout on the property. Observe the salmon valiantly swimming upstream. Also, at nearby Skykomish River, you can fish from the shore or fly-fish, boat and swim, and walk the shore of the Skykomish.
This cabin is 1,000 square feet, so there is lots of room to stretch out and relax with corners to get cozy in the furniture and enjoy the views from the various sides of the house. In the bedroom, there is a cozy queen size bed in a magnificent bed frame with scrolled posts, and this bed overlooks the cascading creek and forested mountains and sky. In the 325 square foot great room, there are 2 couches on separate sides of the room near floor-to-ceiling windows, that fold out to double size beds with deluxe 11-1/2 inch mattresses, and a chair that folds out to a child bed also with an 11-1/2 inch mattress.

Quote by Destination360: “This property and cabin is a great example of a Washington cabin rental. The cabin is set in a wooded valley, and 50 acres of private land wrap you in privacy and isolation. There is an [2,000 foot] area of the Index creek that also belongs to the cabin, so you have this area for your own use. This is one of the more secluded rental cabins that Washington has, so you get the freedom and seclusion that people who come to enjoy Washington State travel will seek out.”

We have been coming here about twice a year for several years now. We always find the peace and quiet to be just what we need. The cabin is rustic and a bit quirky but still charming. When there's a power outage Scott is great about keeping the generator going. We'll definitely keep coming back here to "our" cabin.
Even with a power outage the stay was fantastic. This was our second visit - love the recent up grades. Hosts are great! Love the cabin Cham - hot tub is clean and works great!
This stay was absolutely amazing! The wifi was surprisingly fast for being so remote but the real star of the show is the river that runs directly behind the cabin. Absolutely stunning and they weren't lying when they said the cabin is fully stocked. Plenty of towells and all of the kitchen supplie that you need. It is about an hour and a half from the airport but if youre looking for a quiet relaxing repreuve from city life, this is definitely the right place. I can't wait to come back!
Amazing setting. Loved the whole experience especially the fire pit, outdoor seating areas, hot tub, and grill. We cooked almost every meal. The cabin is rustic and remote. The property description and pictures made the experience exactly what was expected.
We had a wonderful stay! The property was even more than we had hoped, private and beautifully located! In spite of heavy rain for most of the stay we were able to get out to enjoy hikes, and come home to relax in the hot tub and by the fire.Thank you so much for opening your home
This a magical, charming cabin the woods! The seclusion, scenery and tranquility of this place made for a very romantic stay. The check in was smooth and simple, the owners have clear and useful information available throughout the cabin, as well as a wealth of info about things to do in the local area. Will definitely be coming back!
My partner and our 2 small dogs had a wonderful time. The best part was being in the heart of nature at its best. The cabin and amenities are just as described. The only drawback was that a dog came onto the property without an owner, which left us apprehensive about going outside with our pups; (thus the "total exclusion" was not as expected). Otherwise, this was everything I hoped it would be.
This is place is just magical. All the reviews are on point, and I appreciate the ability to bring our lil doggo. It's definitely on our list to stay again!
A lovely peaceful and relaxing stay at this property . Loved hearing the creek; being surrounded by trees and seeing the mountain tops when it wasn’t cloudy.
We really enjoyed exploring nearby and did some wonderful hiking.
Definitely would stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful getaway at Harmony Lodge, being in the forest, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful stream and waterfalls. The amazing thunderstorm and hours of lightening and rain was a big plus!
Had an amazing time at Harmony Lodge. It’s a special place. You can really feel the history. Can’t wait to come back for an another retreat. Incredibley scenic location. Stunningly beautiful.
We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cabin and have already planned our return. The views and sounds of the river are amazing. The cabin is rustic, as described, and full of quirks and charm.
For those who love and respect nature…and privacy, this is a very special place. The views of Index Creek, mountains and trees from every window can’t be beat!
We even saw a bear in the creek!
This is cabin is exactly what you would describe if asked to describe what a cabin should be like. Its perfectly rustic whith just enough modern touches. Everything was wonderful and clean with great instructions to run everything.the only tip I would give is to bring your own water
Great property in a stunning location! All of the essentials, warm comfy cabin, total privacy, and incredible views from every window. The property’s access to the creek and onsite trails was extra special, especially for the pups! Scott was the perfect host. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing time. The property was just what we hoped for. Secluded and private. The views of the creek and mountains were awesome. We enjoyed hiking and relaxing to the sounds of the creek. Scott was a great host and very helpful. I highly recommend this property for someone who wants to get away and enjoy some seclusion and privacy.
We really enjoyed the cabin. The amenities were very delightful including the hot tub, games, jigsaw puzzles and movies. The coolest stove was fun and easy to use. We are hikers and made use of the trails!!! Oh yes, our dogs were very happy to hike there too.
Thank you so much for sharing your quirky adorable cabin with us.
This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway from city life! Surrounded by beautiful nature and in total isolation, the cabin is a picturesque vacation spot for relaxation and peacefulness. We took advantage of the fireplace, the hot tub, gorgeous nature views, and the extensive VHS collection. The ideal weekend getaway spot for a couple or small group. So cozy! Will be returning again! Huge thanks to Rita for her constant communication and ease of directions.
We had a belss as Ted anniversary trip and wanted to get away from the busyness of things. This was the perfect setting and cabin! Couldn’t get enough of the rushing creek! We loved the cozy cabin with its large windows looking out over both directions of the creek. My husband was a big fan of the hot tub as well. We’ll be back. Our hosts were easy to contact, and made our stay relaxing by having plenty of information around the cabin to make sure we operated things like the pellet stove, old stone fireplace, and the hot tub properly and without any issues. Thanks for a wonderful getaway where we were able to reset!
