"Lovely building and we had a really excellent dinner - the catering team was changing so they weren't on their new menu yet so what we had was effectively a one-off. Lots of attention from the chap who was taking over the running of the kitchen. We had an automatic email from the property saying we had pre-payed but when we checked out we were told we hadn't. That caused some confusion especially as the man at checkout kept referring to our Expedia booking - I know Hotels.com is part to Expedia...

"What a wonderful historic building this is. Nice specious courtyard and pool area. Staff was so professional and friendly. Easy to store our bicycles in the parking garage. Comfortable bedding and bathroom. Also the food in this restaurant is excellent. Don’t forget to try the soufflé it’s the best we have had ever! Breakfast great too. Would definitely stay here again as only 2 minute walk from the historic center. "

"The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Our room was very large and the air conditioning was perfect. The front desk staff were welcoming and very friendly. We also enjoyed the exercise room on property and the location of the property. It was close to the highway as well as to the center of town. We were able to walk to coffee shops and restaurants. "I stayed here for 6 nights for a conference in July 2025 and found it clean, comfortable, quiet and very reasonably priced. I liked the option of making breakfast for myself or preparing a simple meal (the kitchenette is pretty basic but has a fridge, microwave, hot plates, a coffee machine (attention, you can't buy the pods in the supermarket but they sell them in the lobby) and basic equipment - no bowls for cereal though, I imagine had I asked I could have borrowed some from the breakfast room). There is a 13€90 breakfast option which I didn't have but nice to have the option. I appreciated the water fountain in the lobby on hot days. Reception was always very pleasant and helpful. I'll hopefully be back another time!"
