"One of the worst travel experiences we've ever had - completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
By looking at other people's reviews, it appears that we are not the only travelers to have our booking cancelled by Hotel Vacanceole without notice. Concerned by an email we received, we called our travel agent twice to confirm that our booking was still valid - and were reassured both times that the Hotel said the room was still available.
After reaching the hotel, we arrived only to find out...
"Bonjour,
I stayed two nights with my four year old son at Marion's house.
It was just perfect.
Marion, such a great, welcome person.
Beautiful house and around.
PS. Merci to Noa and Raphaël to play with my Léon. He had fun.
See you soon to you all.
Léon and Natalia."
"It is an excellent property, beautifully located.
Room no 38 which I was given has an amazingly picturesque view
Would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Luchon
Luchon is very scenic, stay at Panoramic makes it still more special."

"Absolutely brilliant B&B in small village. Very spacious room with comfy bed, seating area and tea/coffee making facilities. Great wifi. Safe parking for our classic car. Very good, varied breakfast. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, really going the extra mile. Lenny the dog kept us entertained too."

After reaching the hotel, we arrived only to find out our room had been given away. No notice, no explanation, and no effort to make things right. There is no person attending the “reception desk” – this is not a hotel.
To make matters worse, when we tried to call the company’s central reservations line, they said that they "don’t speak English” and hung up on us. Unacceptable behavior from any hospitality provider, let alone in the tourism industry.
This experience was not only a major disruption to our trip, but also a glaring example of how not to treat guests. We strongly advise others to think twice before booking with this property or company.
There are better options for real hotels directly across the street."
"This rating mostly reflects the inaccurate or incomplete information provided on the VRBO listing. The place is very difficult and unusual to locate, especially in the dark. Check in instructions lacked clarity and failed to note many important things: - The exterior of the building is not lit, making it nearly impossible to see signage- the remote control for parking confusingly opens and operates two different parking barriers for two completely separate parking areas. Despite this, it is important to park in exactly the right spot (in the underground garage)- The lights in the underground garage and hallways turn off frequently (seemingly every 30 seconds) leaving you in total darkness (alarming if you’re not expecting it)- take the elevator to floor 5 even though the unit is numbered 76- some of the better information was contained in a separate email from the host, the VRBO app had almost none of the important detailsDisappointing to note that previous guests had left soiled laundry and the host was unbothered by the idea that the place hadn’t been cleaned since its last use. Not a single towel was available, not even a hand towelOverall, not great. The host communication was exceptional, over and above what would be expected, which salvaged some of the experience. The amenities in the kitchenette seemed fine and exactly as described. "
"The hotel is located on a side road in a modest size village. Very little traffic passes so it's not likely to attract passing trade but does mean it's very quiet with no vehicle noise in the rooms. The staff speak good English so communication isn't a problem. The room has a balcony with views of the mountains in the distance. Breakfast costs extra but is of high quality. The only issue is the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty but the shower gel provided an alternative."
