(Please note that during the summer weeks, both check-ins and check-outs are primarily on Saturdays, with a minimum stay requirement of 7 nights.)

Sunflower Cottage is located on a quiet side street in Bar Harbor close to Acadia National Park (Cadillac Mountain entrance), Kebo Valley Golf Course as well as all downtown Bar Harbor restaurants/shops within 1 mile. A short walking away is Parsons Lobsters, one of the best fresh seafood providers on the island, selling lobsters and other seafood caught by local fishermen from the shores of Acadia.

Recently remodeled with careful attention to detail, this beautiful Colonial home will welcome you and offer a place to relax and unwind while you enjoy all the beauty of Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor areas. Spacious parking area allows for 3 cars to park on-premises in front of the covered front entry porch.

The main level of the house offers an entry hall leading to an open kitchen/dining area with a slider leading out to nice sized deck with mountain and seasonal views of Kebo Valley Golf Course. A fully stocked kitchen makes it easy for you to prepare a meal and the large dining room is great for entertaining and sharing special moments. The living room and the family room areas provide 55" smart TV, books and games for relaxation after a day of adventure in the park. Dedicated office space with a desk and high-speed wireless internet is provided if you need to take work with you. The upper floor offers 1 large King master bedroom suite with walk-in closet across and a large double-vanity bathroom with shower, along with 3 additional bedrooms (Queen, Full, and Twin beds) and another double-vanity full bathroom.

You will also have access to washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, lobster pot, Wi-Fi internet, and Spectrum/Samsung TV channels. Owner’s basement and garage (separated by locked door) are the only areas off limits. We want you to be comfortable and fully enjoy your stay and love Bar Harbor as much as we do. The property manager is nearby and happy to assist with making your time here delightful.

Sunflower Cottage is available for rent with a 4-night minimum reservation. A $300 cleaning charge per stay will apply to all reservation. Our home is a non-smoking and “shoes off” rental.

Great stay in Bar Harbor

We enjoyed our stay in the home. Communication with owners was excellent. House was clean and had everything we needed. We did want to grill out one night so was disappointed there wasn’t a grill but it was not a big deal. The walk into town was not bad and the drive to Acadia was fast and easy. Great home and location.

The house was well appointed and the owner was easy to contact with questions, etc.. Kitchen drawers and cabinets were marked with what was inside and this was helpful for us to move quickly about the kitchen. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms and bathrooms spacious and had everything that we needed

Great place to stay in Bar Harbor

The Sunflower Cottage was convenient to Acadia and downtown. Very clean and comfortable!! Our group of six adults had plenty of room. We would definitely keep this on the list of places to return to.

Location, location, location

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, well stocked, and convenient for all our activities in Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. At the same time, it was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood away from the busyness of the town. Would definitely stay here again in the future if we return to Bar Harbor.

Last minute end of summer vacation trip

We had a great stay but too short of a trip. But overall, had a great stay. Lots of room for my wife and 3 kids. We could walk in to town and get food, ice cream, etc. Communication was easy with fast responses from the host.

Great house right outside Acadia Natl Park

We loved staying at this well appointed darling home with ideal location for exploring Acadia (3 min drive to the entrance) and a quick drive or half hour walk to charming downtown. Really appreciated the comfy beds, fresh new linens/blankets, and new appliances. Minor concern that there was no deadbolt on the front door or door to the basement that could be accessed by caretaker or owners, but neighborhood felt safe overall. Would definitely stay here again!

Family oriented vacation house

We just spent 5 days at this property with adults and 2 children, ages 1 and 3. Aside from the bedrooms being upstairs, everything was really great! Clean, well equipped, lots of room, easy to accommodate the age ranges and interests. Including a great washer and dryer in the downstairs and a piano in the "office" which is a second family room.

Super Comfy & Clean with Great Location

Amazing visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Super comfy for 7 total. 5 Adults, 1 teenager and 1 child. Walking distance to town and short drive into Acadia National Park. Very clean, and well maintained. Lots of room to spread out. Host was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Great Christmas stay for extended family

We had a lovely stay at this house. The beds were comfortable. We had small children, and the rooms were quiet. The downstairs has a lot of space and separate living rooms for people to have quiet time. We cooked many meals, and the kitchen worked well. Jane was a great communicator, making everything so easy. She even left us lovely snacks to get us started. Highly recommend

Acadia Hiking Vacation

There were 6 of us staying and it was a very clean and comfortable vacation home! We drove to Acadia everyday for hikes. It is conveniently located and close to the park and restaurants in Bar Harbor. It was a 20-30 min walk to downtown, so we drove some and walked some. We had fun at the Reels pizza place where you could watch a movie while eating pizza. It was a great vacation and the house had plenty of comfy beds, showers and space.

Perfect location

Our family of eight visited Bar Harbor for a long memorial day celebration. The home is well appointed with all of the amenities needed for a great vacation. Plenty of room to spread out and kitchen was well stocked. The location couldn’t be any better whether it be getting to town, Acadia, or all other points of interest. Neighborhood was very quiet plenty of parking in the front of the home for four cars. Host was very responsive to all questions and any issues that we had with the home. Would definitely stay at this home again, if in the area.

Nice stay

The property looks like it’s been recently updated. It’s also clean and has all the amenities. Check-in was easy. The location was great. We appreciated the umbrellas, washer/dryer, and extra blankets! (JFYI the bathtub was out of order). The only con is that there were A LOT of check out instructions and pre-cleaning to do (10 bullet points worth).

Fall Trip to Acadia

The house was very clean and well stocked. Jane was very accommodating and gave us access to the garage so we could store our bikes. Communication with Jane was excellent! The neighborhood is quiet even though the houses are spaced closely together. The house was located minutes from the park entrance and downtown Bar Harbor. We were even able to ride our bikes into the park in less than 10 minutes.

Bar Harbor family getaway

We were looking for a place for a final summer vacation before school starts and this place did not disappoint! Jane was very communicative and prompt, the house is very clean and more than enough space for 4 adults and 2 children. The kitchen is fully stocked including a lobster pot that we used. Parsons Lobster is about a 5min walk away. And the cute town of Bar Harbor is also in walking distance. This is the closes we have stayed to town and this house was exactly as described and reviewed by everyone else before us. I'm still dreaming of my vacation.

Location, location, location! Perfect spot for Acadia, Bar Harbor, and surrounding location(s).

Wonderful property and perfect location. Chih-Hao, owner, was a delight to interact with! The location is very walkable to Bar Harbor, less then a kilometer from downtown. It’s close to the grocery store for supplies too. Acadia Nat’l Park is a 15 min drive away and we strongly suggest you watch a sun rise there. The property is exceptional and clean. Make sure to bring you slippers. It quiet too, we all slept like babies! The treats and water were a wonderful surprise, thank you Chih-Hao! The Martland’s had a great time!,!
