This is a very posh, small (24 room) 5* hotel, located right in the center of the small town of Banska Stiavnica. We were the only guests that night, because the hotel had blocked reservations to get organized for the summer season (and forgot to block Expedia). The hotel owner was working the desk, and was extremely friendly and helpful. There is convenient and secure parking under the hotel. There are a few tourist attractions in town (most interesting - the mine tour) and there are other sights within a 30 minute drive. Definitely a lovely place to stay.

This hotel is wonderful. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. There is a seating area that they provide with a coffee/snack area, along with a breakfast area. This hotel is up the hill with restaurants nearby. Since parking is provided - use this space and walk around as there is little parking available in town.

At check-in, I was warmly welcomed by your front desk team, whose kindness and professionalism I truly appreciated. However, I would like to share a few concerns from my stay. During registration, I noticed that my country of origin had been mistakenly recorded as Thailand (THA) instead of Taiwan (TWN). I immediately pointed this out, crossed out the error on the form, and clearly wrote the correct information. The staff assured me that they understood. Yet, upon check-out, the invoice still listed my country incorrectly as THA. For a five-star hotel charging over €200 per night, this kind of detail should not be overlooked. It is not simply a clerical matter, but one of respect for your guests. If the registration process is required, I would expect the information provided to be properly respected and reflected in your system. Additionally, I was surprised to find that the room did not provide a kettle, tea, or coffee—basic amenities that I would expect in a hotel of this category. When I inquired, I was directed to the café where drinks and cakes were available for an additional charge. While I understand your property’s offerings, I believe that in-room coffee or tea facilities are a standard expectation at this level.
