Weekend Mountain Getaway

This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! The view from the balcony was spectacular and the condo was welcoming and just as described. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay!

Grandfather Mountain Trip

This condo was in a great location for visiting Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Beech Mountain, etc. It was clean and had everything as described. Great for a family with kids. We would stay there again.

Best place to stay in the area!

We’ve stayed at several different Sugar Tops units in the past, but this one was by far the best. Very clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Communication with the owner was easy and fast. Zero complaints! Will definitely be back.

Sugar Bear Condo

This condo was wonderful. As soon as we stepped through the doors we were amazed at how nice the condo was and the view was absolutely amazing. You just can't beat watching the sunset in the mountains from your balcony. The condo was located at the top of a steep mountain but it was very close to grocery stores and restaurants. It was a great location for sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again.

Snowboard trip

We had a great time. The room was nicely decorated and well stocked with items you may need during your stay. The view from the balcony is beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in the Sugar Mountain area. It is at the top of Sugar Mountain so if the weather is bad you may need 4wd.

The two bedroom condo was just right for our group. Lots of bears in the decor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We have not stayed at a place with a shuttle service before and were worried about how it would work. But the shuttles and the drivers were GREAT! Loved having coffee on the balcony every morning and enjoying the beautiful view!

Spectacular

Super clean! Beautifully appointed - like the owner's personal home rather than a rental. Spectacular view. During the week, we were able to park close to the building but during the busy, holiday weekend, we had to use the shuttle. Could not have been happier!

Beautiful condo with Wonderful views!

The condo was absolutely beautiful and had everything we could need for a weekend stay! The beds were so comfy; something you don't normally get with vacation homes! There was a little mix up with our check in but after a quick call to the property manager fixed everything! Even the front desk are human and someone made a check in card but forgot to add our name! We stay at Sugar top every September to enjoy Land of Oz and thia has become our favorite condo in 4 years! The property manager even sent a detailed list of great restaurants in the area! We will definitely return again!

Cozy Weekend

Condo was super clean and cozy! Working fireplace, cute decor and seasonal touches. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. The unit also had tidy and modern bathrooms. Most of our time was outdoors, but it was a great place to cozy up for the evening hours. Shuttle and gate house personal were so friendly and helpful. It was no problem getting the shuttle at all - it was our only concern, but it was a non issue. Gorgeous views and such a well maintained and beautiful building. Just lovely! So close and convenient to Sugar Mountain ski resort. A repeat visit for sure!

Impeccably styled and maintained condo

This condo is beautifully decorated, thoughtfully furnished, and very clean. The beds are very really comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with all of the basics one would need for vacation cooking! Despite many trips to the Boone area, we had never stayed previously at SugarTop. For others who are unfamiliar, it’s probably worth mentioning that you will need to take a shuttle in between your parking lot and the condo building due to limited owner only parking at the top of the mountain. It’s not a big deal - shuttles come very quickly after being called - but it’s something to account for in terms of planning.

Comfy condo

Very clean. Check in was easy. Use of shuttle was effortless. Kitchen equipped well. The filter on fridge may need to be replaced, as the water barely trickled out of the in-door water system. The bathrooms were updated nicely but the water pressure was lacking, especially for a female with lots of long hair to wash. The indoor pool amenities were nice and easy to access. Figuring out the cable/roku/live tv ordeal was a struggle and may could benefit from written instructions somewhere in the room…having multiple remotes was confusing, but once we figured it out, there was LOTS to chose from. We’d stay here again…five stars. These few flaws, are just some recommendations that would help others but didn’t hinder us much at all.

Perfect in every way

Truly one of the cutest and coziest rentals! The room was spacious and inviting in every way. It was extremely clean. Yes as other people have stated, the facility in and of itself is a little outdated. However, the room is not! It’s very up to date and you feel you’re in a little cabin. The views are spectacular! I even enjoyed laying in bed looking at the full moon outside over the mountain. I come to the area a couple times a year for the last several years. This is the first time I needed somewhere to stay, as the friends we normally stay with are remodeling. I must say, this was such a wonderful experience that I do plan to come back and stay here. The resort even had shuttles so we didn’t have to hike up and down. Despite some shuttle troubles they were having they were speedy and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a shuttle. But seriously it was perfectly perfect in every way!

We totally enjoyed our stay. The condo is decorated fantastically and the unit is very clean! The view is outstanding and the unit is very close to many fun things to do in the area. The furniture is nice and the beds are super-comfy!The owner even called to make sure we were comfortably and didn’t have any problems.
