Fox Crossing - Mountain Views, Game Room & Pet-Friendly Cabin!
Mountain Views • Game Room • Pet-Friendly • Sleeps 6 • Near Boone, Blowing Rock & Ski Resorts
Welcome to Fox Crossing, our family’s cozy mountain getaway in Seven Devils, North Carolina. I’m Lydia, your host, and I’m so happy to share this special place with you. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, this cabin has everything you need to make yourself at home — and to take in those unforgettable Blue Ridge Mountain views.
Nestled between Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk, Fox Crossing puts you close to three ski resorts, scenic hiking trails, and some of the area’s best wineries, breweries, and restaurants. You can even walk to Hawksnest for zip-lining and snow tubing!
Inside, you’ll find 2,200 square feet of space designed for comfort and fun — with 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and a large game room perfect for families or groups.
The main level features an open living area with a fully stocked kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, and access to the deck for morning coffee or sunset wine overlooking the mountains. The primary suite includes a king bed and private en suite bath for extra comfort.
Downstairs, there’s another king bedroom and a twin bedroom, along with a newly updated bathroom and washer/dryer. The game room is a guest favorite, featuring a gas fireplace, foosball, darts, and plenty of board games and books.
Outside, you can unwind by the fire pit under the stars or play a round of cornhole in the mountain air. (Please bring your own firewood — available locally.)
Fox Crossing is pet-friendly (up to 2 pets, $50 per stay), and we’ve added thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay comfortable — from fast Wi-Fi to quality bedding and a fully equipped kitchen.
For your safety, the property includes two exterior security cameras (one facing Skyland Road, one at the driveway), used only for security and weather monitoring.
You’ll have keyless entry, parking for up to 3 vehicles, and easy access to all the High Country has to offer. In winter months (December–March), I recommend 4-wheel drive or chains for your peace of mind on mountain roads.
I send detailed check-in information a week before your stay and am always just a text or call away if you need anything. You’ll also receive a digital guidebook with my favorite local spots — from hidden hiking trails to great places for wine, craft beer, and mountain views.
This cabin has been a place for my family to make wonderful memories over the years, and I love seeing guests enjoy it just as much. I hope you’ll find the same mix of peace, fun, and connection that we do here.
Book your stay at Fox Crossing — your High Country adventure starts here!

This property was great!!! We loved the game area and proximity to Hawksnest for tubing. Clean and very well-equipped! We’ll be back next year!!! Views were beautiful.
The house was fantastic. It was roomy, well kept and an excellent location. My kids loved the games that were provided and my parents were very happy with the view and comfort. We spent the day tubing at Hawksnest which was a 3 minute drive up the road. It was a perfect mini getaway and we will definitely be back!
This was our second time staying here. Very clean home, well stocked kitchen with a nice view from the top deck. Home is convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone and Grandfather Mountain. The teenagers loved the updated game room including the addition of a TV downstairs. We plan to stay again next year! 😊
My family had an amazing fall break trip. The home is spacious but cozy at the same time. I loved waking up to beautiful sunrises and amazing views of the mountains. Despite rainy weather my kids had so much fun with the football table, games and toys that were available in the home. Seven devils is a lovely community and I wish we had more time there to explore the area.
Our family had a great experience at this cabin. Clean, spacious (we are a family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 kids - and it was plenty of space for us), and comfortable. The views from the deck were amazing.
The location was convenient - pretty much 15-30m from most things there are to do in the area. The local resorts, hiking trails, and parks provide great outdoor activities. We stayed Feb 2024, so we did some snow activities and hiking.
Communication with the host was great and the check-in process was seamless. Would definitely recommend!
This was our second stay at Fox Crossing, and we had a great time! The weather this time wasn’t always conducive to outdoor activities, but there was still plenty to do. Shopping, dining out, and “leaf peeping” topped the list! And there are always plenty of fun activities at the house if you don’t want to get out in the elements. Lydia was super responsive to any needs. We will certainly be back next year!
The home was clean and in a great location. Very close to Grandfather Mountain and Blowing rock. The views from the front porch and living room are amazing. The house was well stocked with cups, plates, silverware, pots and pans etc. The only negatives were that the a/c units in the wall were very loud and the two bathroom doors on the bottom floor are difficult to open and close because they are dragging across the floor. All things considered were really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!
We enjoyed our stay in the Seven Devils home very much. The house was clean, comfortable and in a peacefully quiet area. The home had all the basics needed to make the stay easy and convenient. We visited the area for some R&R and time to tour the area on our motorcycle. We logged almost 600 miles on the bike during our trip just meandering through the valley’s and over the mountain passes enjoying all of the natural beauty the area offers, returning to the home each evening to enjoy a fire in the outdoor fire pit and some quiet time. We will definitely consider staying here again when we revisit the area in the future.
Thank you for the hospitality and the memories!
This was our second stay at the house and felt it could have used some improvements. Overall stay was good but to make it great, please ensure enough space heaters are placed where wall heater units are broken. It also would have been helpful to know where the snow shovel and ice melt was located instead of having to go searching the house for it. There was a strong displeasing cat odor. No hairdryer was available. This is a great location for snow tubing and ease of access to Sugar, Beech, Banner Elk. Sunrise/Sunset views are stunning!
My husband and I had a lovely stay here. The house has everything you would need. The views are incredible. The house was more than we needed and we would definitely return again with more family. I especially enjoyed the sitting area in the upstairs area. Perfect spot to read a book in the piece and quiet of the early mornings and watch the sun come up. We loved it.
Loved this house. Unique layout. Kids loved the ping pong table and foosball room. Great location. Great views. Loved the fireplace and fire pit as well as the open floor plan. Really close to Hawksnest tubing and hiking trail. Would stay again!
The home is just fine but the main reason to stay here is the view. My favorite part of the trip was enjoying the late afternoon sun out on the deck and watching the clouds and fog settle and lift over the trees as evening arrives. Incredible. Im guessing the views during peak leaf season are stunning.
This was a great find. We travel with our pets and having the small fenced area to let them run about without a leash was great. Well-stocked, lots of starter supplies, plenty of room. Property owner very responsive. Great trip and experience.
The property was just as described. Very well stocked with cooking and eating necessities. We enjoyed the spacious living area with plenty of search to spread out. This was a girls weekend getaway and the layout of the bedrooms worked well. We all agreed this would definitely be somewhere we would stay again. Location is also wonderful-short drives to Boone, Banner Elk. And Sugar Mountain
The cabin looked how the pictures showed but when we actually were inside it wasnt as clean as it should have been. It was very dusty on the fans and vents throughout the cabin. The couches in the living room needed to be vaccumed and shampooed. The kitchen could have been wiped down and more clean. The cabin was okay for what it provided and the views were great. I just felt very uncomfortable and irritated with allergies being there.
