Welcome to “Banner Views”, our second home we rent to guests, referrals, and friends!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Banner Elk, Banner Views boasts amazing views of the valley, Sugar Mountain, and peak-a-boo views of Grandfather Mountain. This newly remodeled mountain cabin/duplex features, two bedrooms, two baths, and a loft. Amenities include an oversized front porch overlooking the valley and sugar mountain, gas fireplace, cable TV, wifi, brand-new TVs (3), granite counters, full-sized washer/dryer, and stainless appliances. A queen bed in each room, a queen sleeper/sofa and a single sleeper/love seat in the loft will accommodate up to 7 adults and a pack-n-play will take care of the infant or toddler. The cabin is nicely decorated and is a fantastic place for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or girl’s weekend.

The cabin is a two minute walk to 10+ restaurants in downtown, a five minute walk to Lees-McRrae College, and a quick 10 minute walk to Kettell Beerworks. Also a two minute walk is the local park, hosting live music on Thursdays in the summer, various art festivals throughout the year (including the inaugural Beerfest), and the famous Wooly Worm Festival.

We are nicely situated between two ski resorts; Sugar Mountain is 10 minutes one way and Beech Mountain is ten minutes the other way. Walk to local favorite Edge of the World for a second-to-none white water rafting experience.

Great Weekend Snowboarding Trip

We had a great time here! The house was clean and spacious. It snowed 5 inches while we were here and the roads up to the driveway were plowed. There are other residents downstairs who were quiet, we did our best as well, and had no issues. Great stay and we hope to do it again in the future.

This cabin was perfect for our needs. We didn't cook so being walking distance to restaurants was great! Loved the lighting on the steps out doors. The updated bathroom downstairs was nice. Cozy cabin central to Sugar and Beech

We loved the cabin and the location was perfect for our 3 night stay in Banner Elk. It's close to shops and restaurants, and an easy drive to both Sugar and Beech for skiing, tubing, and ice skating. The gas fireplace was a bonus (easy to operate and no clean up like a wood fireplace). The kitchen met our needs for cooking breakfast. The host was responsive. Check in and check out were easy. We will book here again.

Cozy spot exceeded expectations

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of care taken for my stay. It was an absolutely adorable cozy cabin, perfect for myself and 2 boys with room for more people if my brother and his little family came with us. What was even nicer is that they are pet friendly. I brought my small Husky and cavalier and they weren't stressed at all. Everything was super clean and well equipped for whatever we needed. I can't complain about anything.

Our Favorite Place

Over the last several years, the "green roof cabin" has started to feel like our home away from home. I have been coming to Banner Elk since I was a child and now, feel so blessed to be able to bring my own children several times a year to enjoy my favorite place. I would be happy just sitting on the porch of this cabin enjoying the view and my kids love just playing in the yard, but the cabin is also perfect for being able to walk to the restaurants and the park. It comfortably accommodates our family of 6 - there's plenty of room in the upstairs bedroom for an air mattress, too! My parents have rented the lower unit several times, which is great for allowing them to join us while giving them their own space. I am thankful to have found this cabin years ago and that the owner has been able to keep the rate affordable so we are able to enjoy it as often as we do! We are already looking forward to our next trip up!
