From the minute we entered this large beautiful home we felt at home. It was so comfortable for our large family group. Most evenings were spent out on the deck around the fire ring. We loved the view and the spotting scope. There was nothing negative about this property and we would definitely stay again. Thank you!!
Our cross country team had a great time on this property. Plenty of space for our team, very clean, and it was in a great location. Highly recommend staying here.
We loved our stay. We were 4 families with kids of different ages along with 1 senior member and we were all comfortable. We did have trouble turning on the fireplace outside and pollens on deck and outside furniture, which upon call was addressed when we were outside enjoying grandfather mountains swinging bridge. Fireplace worked but pollens on deck and furniture was not cleaned (ofcourse that didn’t bothered us much) cuz most of the time we stayed by the fireplace on deck which wasn’t that bad. Overall we will recommend the house, large enough and best of all easy to get up and down the mountains!
This place is lovely! It def has the space and sleeping area for several.but 2 vehicles would have been tight imo..we used the hot tub, outside fire pit, the the shuffleboard the most..the path there is VERY tight and curving and 15 mins from a bare minimal store.. kitchen has everything you need and some nice staples left by others.. i would 100% stay here again.. the property managers were very thorough..i may be ocd,but it coyld have been a tad cleaner..baseboards and window sills were quite dusty.. they left plenty of tp and pt for our 3 night stay along w plenty of soap and shampoo..also there was an extra gas tank for every thing that used gas..we didnt take our dog ad planned but there is evidence animals are welcome here.. enjoy but DO NOT eat at Waightsgrill while visiting..i recommend the Pedalin Pig instead..or bojangles

We had a great weekend in
We had a great weekend in this beautiful house, has a nice view, very quiet place and close to the ski resort! We were four families with kids of very different ages, and the rooms and spaces were perfect so everybody could enjoy, play and relax at the same time. All the rooms are comfortable and spacious . Very clean and easy to organize. We will be there for sure again!
We came with extended family for Easter weekend. We loved the views and there was plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub was also a big hit. Kitchen was fully stocked except the only can opener was broken. We bought one and left it there. Thank you for everything.
Great house for big groups. I stayed here with friends and teenagers for a weekend to snowboard at Sugar Mountain. The house was very clean with plenty of cookware and utensils. Communication with the rental company was very prompt. We were very comfortable. The resort is 6 miles away (about a 17 minute drive down the mountain). I would definitely consider this rental again if we return in the future.

house was nice, the internet being down for the first 24 hours was frustrating. also there was some supplies that i thought should have been there like trash bags
Renting it was the easy part, getting there was a little tricky and they had had 10 inches of snow a few days earlier which made getting up the drive almost impossible. Reminder to self not to rent during the holiday busy season. House was not as clean as we expected, and there were several maintenance items that needed attention. The property manager was very good to respond and got someone to clean the hot tub but unfortunately it was too late for us to any use of it. They did Credit us for the non-use. I would rent from these folks again.

He cautious of the management company
We stayed for 3 nights for a ski weekend. The first night we had no heat in the house. Called the emergency line several times and emailed to get it fixed. The management company responded up until 10pm and then stopped responding. Called the next morning to find out what time the maintenance would be coming by and the lady didn’t even know. Spoke with 3 different people and none of them were on the same page. Took them almost 24 hours to get the heat on in the house. They refunded us our money for that night, but was very disappointed in how the management did not prioritize the safety of their guests. It was 45 degrees F inside the house the first night. We got several inches of snow over the weekend. Even though our vehicles had 4-wheel drive, we had a hard time getting up the drive way. The snow plow didn’t come out at all during our trip. I got a call an hour after our checkout time saying they were there to plow. There were no check out procedures on VRBO or emailed to me. And none at the house. I had to email the company at 9pm the night before to find out what we needed to do to leave. The house was gorgeous, the maintenance people were nice. Literally the only negative things I have to say are about the management company and how they run their guest services.
Our stay was amazing! The property is beautiful and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Ample supplies for a thanksgiving meal, and seating around the fire for everyone! The home is located outside of town and a good vehicle is needed to make it through the mountain road.
This property and house was just perfect for our family getaway. Very clean and beautifully appointed. We didn’t want to leave. Fantastic hiking and sightseeing in all directions. Highly recommend.
Wonderful home and great communication with the property manager.
We had an amazing time. The home is even nicer than the pictures. It was very clean, and everything we used was working properly. Any question we had was quickly answered. The wifi was very good in the master bedroom, as was the huge TV in it. There is a small cafe/lodge just 10 minutes away that has everything you coule want on their two unique menus. There was a small delay in the check in process, but we explored the surrounding area while they finished cleaning, and they refunded us for the time we missed (even though we didn't ask). We highly recommend the cabin and hope to be back.
The property was beautiful and the location was excellent. Just make sure you have four-wheel-drive or chains on your tires to make it up the driveway if it’s snowing

The Point at North View
To anyone considering staying at The Point, I would say YES. It was such a great trip full of fun memories and easy living due to the house having everything we could possibly need! We had to call the management company a few times for little things but they were always prompt, professional, and a pleasure to work with. This vacation was much needed and we were so happy we chose The Point.
5 Stars for Experience. 4 Stars for how the property was maintained.
--------------------------------
To the owners & property managers;
The home was quite dirty. It wasn't anything that bothered us too much but definitely in a time of pandemic was unacceptable. Cabinets had splatters from past guest's dinners, cup holders were full of gunk and crumbs, shower drains had hair on them, and it just made us quite weary of the sanitation of the home.
Also, the plumbing was very funky. I am not mountain savvy, so I'm not sure if that's something that is common for these homes but I do feel it was worth mentioning. Just one example of many: Anytime someone was doing dishes in the kitchen if someone was using the restroom the toilet would turn into the world's most uninvited bidet. Also, the tub in the upstairs bedroom does not drain and the shower light was out.
It felt like every time we went to do something it was *almost* perfect but there was always something stopping the experience from being 5 stars.
The dishwasher never dissolved soap to really clean the dishes. The kitchen had EVERYTHING under the sun to use, but it was all so disorganized we couldn't find anything. Also, we had nowhere to put our groceries since the cabinets were bursting at the seams so we lost about 50% of counter-top space since we just had to keep everything out.
Again, these were all just little things that didn't ruin our trip but definitely kept our experience from being OUT OF THIS WORLD.
We had a blast and hope to return to NC soon!

Fall Mountain Trip
The home was very nice, but there were cleanliness issues in kitchen on arrival. Housekeeping was sent out to address issues, but due to COVID-19, it concerned me how well the rest of the house was cleaned.

Beautiful Home
I rented this home for my extended family to have an early Christmas. We all loved the home and accommodations within Hot tub, shuffle board, fire pit, corn hole and many other games. Just a short drive to Sugar Mountain for a little skiing or snowboarding was also a plus. The Daniel Boone Inn not as conveniently located but well worth the drive for the best dinner in your life. The back door and bottom side door do not lock. We still had a blast.

Decent
As far as the house itself, it was spacious and in mostly fair shape. When we arrived and walked through the house on an initial tour, many of the handles to exterior doors just fell right off with very light touches. The door in the living room which goes outside to the deck also did not seem to shut properly despite multiple attempts and in fact blew wide open one night while we were sleeping causing the house to get really cold. We eventually had to place a chair in front of it to stop it from opening up. Some doors to bathrooms seemed to not be aligned properly so they would not completely shut. Some of the toilets also would randomly bubble up. It seemed as though there was pressure in the plumbing being released through the toilets causing the water to start rumbling and for some to even come out past the seat. Other than that we thought mostly everything else in the house was good and they had plenty of cooking supplies which we found useful. If not for what follows, we would have given 4 stars as the issues in the house were minor inconveniences which we were able to live with.
The rental experience itself wasn't pleasant. This is our second time renting with this company (the first was wonderful) and we received some headaches from them after fully paying for the house which resulted in a surprise cancellation of our booking 2 weeks before we were supposed to arrive without much of a conversation taking place. Then to get the reservation back we were required to pay an additional security deposit because of concerns about the age of our group coming (24-32 year old adults) which was not something that seemed necessary when making the booking originally. This was all forced upon us even though we had opted into the rental property insurance.
