First, let me start by saying that I never leave bad reviews, EVER! After dealing with Vacasa on this rental I was left with a horrible customer service experience that has set this nasty review in motion!! We arrive to an absolute mess of a rental. The toilets have not been cleaned, there is unsanitary hair and urine on the toilet seats and pooled around the toilet base on the floor, the floors are unvacuumed in all areas of the rental, tables that have prior renters spills on them and sheets that were literally never changed. There were 6 of us and 2 towels.
My first call to Vacasa 24/7 service (as they call it) was the night we got there. After numerous attempts and no contact back from Vacasa we finally got someone on the phone around 7:15. The customer service rep told me she would have fresh towels and sheets out immediately. Nothing ever showed up!! The next morning, I contacted them back again. We were promised compensation and fresh sheets and towels. The towels/sheets finally arrived a couple of hours later smelling like an absolute cigarette tray! I had to go buy detergent to wash the sheets on the beds and the 2 towels we had. Instead of using my vacation time to be on vacation, I used it cleaning this rental.
Let me say, the rental itself outside of the uncleanliness was cute, nicely renovated and great location. Housekeeping needs tremendous work.
Vacasa promised to contact me about compensation and never did. As I type this message I am on hold for a supervisor (after 32 mins).
Supervisor has offered only the cleaning fees of a whopping $112.75 for compensation. While it is better than nothing, Vacasa and myself knows this wasn't sufficient enough for the mess my family and I had to go through in order to receive it.
We will never rent a unit through this Vacation Rental Company again!!!
Please let there be an upload spot for photos! I would be horrified if I owned this rental with the amount of money they are paying their rental management company and receiving this review.
