Quiet, within-residential-neighborhood single level house fantastic for visiting researcher, visiting hospital professional, or any one or two adults needing a well-appointed space for a short-term, peaceful, or extended stay.
Comfortable, stylish living room with flat screen tv, wifi, seating, shelves, coffee table.
One king bedroom with closet and bureau, one queen bedroom with closet, bureau, and desk. *Note photos show configuration of one queen bedroom and one twin bedroom but this is being changed by 3/1/26*
Full bathroom featuring walk in tile shower with on demand hot water (won’t run out of hot water!). In-bathroom washer/dryer.
Kitchen with open dining room with seating for six, large windows for sunny view of backyard. Dishwasher, microwave, keurig, french press, bean grinder, drip pot, electric hot water pot — take your choice to make your coffee!
Private backyard good for bird watching.
Driveway for single vehicle off-street parking.
Be aware there is NO basement and NO garage access. These spaces are locked off for owner storage.

Great little house. Perfect for our 2 day, 3 night stay. Perfect location to get easily to the Maine Savings amphitheater for a concert. Easy day trip to Bar Harbor. Checked all the boxes!

This home is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with every gadget and tool you would need. There is also a lovely grill in the backyard that works very well. The location is perfect for us as it's close to the concert venue as well as many other places. We will always stay here if we can.

We had a wonderful stay! The house is adorable with plenty of space and fun, interesting decor. It is nicely furnished with a wonderful fenced in back yard. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotless clean. Communication was excellent and check in was simple. We attended a concert and walked to the pavilion. It was an enjoyable walk down and an uphill walk back - it worked well and we avoided trying to find transportation in the crowd of people.

What a gem! Cute cottage right in the heart of Bangor! Very walkable. House has everything you need. Highly recommend Cole Museum of Maine Transportation-very nostalgic and interesting. Took day trip to Stonington for lobster rolls. And walked the Orono Bog Boardwalk . Ate at Bagel Central and Jade Oriental-both excellent! Thank you Laurel for making our visit to Bangor so enjoyable.

Wonderful location in Bangor, Maine

This property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, with easy access to downtown Bangor, the waterfront and I-95. We loved our morning walks along the Penibscot river.

Little Vernon is a MUST STAY!

We came for a long weekend for a graduation. Little Vernon was way more than we had hoped for. Plenty of room, clean (even mints in the bedrooms ) Easy checkin and great communication with owner, Laurel. The house had such interesting touches from an end table to a clock. If you are ever in the Bangor area little vernon is a must!

Little Vernon

We had a wonderful stay at Little Vernon! It was the perfect spot for resting up after our various Maine adventures. The house was in a nice, quite neighborhood. We enjoyed seeing the unique clock, amplifier, and end table. The "signing wall" was a really neat idea! Our host was always available to answer any questions we had. Highly recommend staying here!

Excellent home base for exploring Bangor and environs

Excellent location for being able to leave the car in the driveway and walk to the riverfront for 4th of July festivities and the Amphitheater for a concert. Enjoyed a beautiful kayak on Pushaw River & Lake - lots of eagles and loons! Laurel was a wonderful host - the house has everything we wanted and needed, very comfortable and clean & Laurel was very communicative and helpful with tips and recommendations for us. Also greatly appreciated being able to travel with our dog - thank you!

Bangors Best

This home is just perfect. Great quiet neighborhood,owned & decorated by a gifted artist. Half a mile from Stephen King’s previous long lived home,definitely worth seeing & the homes nearby. Easy access to the interstate but not close enough to hear it. Just an hours gorgeous drive to Acadia NP. We will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Home Away from Home

Our stay at this Vrbo in Bangor was first rate from beginning to end. The house is located in a very nice residential area, and was perfect for our needs. Everything was clean, the beds and furniture were comfortable, the kitchen had all the appliances we needed (and the local grocery store is only 5 minutes away), the temperature control was easily managed, the bathroom was updated, and the location is only a few minutes from everywhere in town. Our hostess was very accessible and helpful, and gave us good information whenever we needed it. We will absolutely be back here for our next visit to Bangor!

Music and hiking in Bangor

This house was so perfect for us. It was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The owners thought of absolutely everything from the speaker in the living room to the candy dish on the fireplace, and all the notes explaining how everything works. The beds were super comfy, and the kitchen was the most equipped kitchen I've ever seen. They truly thought of everything. The property was in walking distance from the music venue and only a little over an hour to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We had a wonderful time.

Excellent host and rental house!!

Laurel went above and beyond to make our stay at “Little Vernon,” a great experience. The house was clean and welcoming. We’ve never seen a more generously stocked rental! There was everything that you could possibly need. For those that like to cook, there was not one utensil, small appliance, pot or pan, that couldn’t be found in the kitchen. A large fenced in back yard gave the home a great feeling of privacy. Laurel couldn’t have been a nicer or more considerate host. We would definitely return when in the area.
