I was in a newly renovated room, but the paint and decorating materials were just left right outside the room in the hallway for both days I stayed there.

Beautiful place, staff is very friendly and helpful. Although my suite was not ready when we arrived at 7pm (even though check in is at 4pm). After waiting 30min, they figured it out and accommodated us into a different suite that was ready. Valet parking was great and breakfast at the vermillion room was wonderful. Will be coming back again !

Our stay at BSH was absolutely magical! Despite record low temps -40 our stay could not have been more wonderful The views are breathtaking. Great stay and very accommodating staff including Lexi and Rebecca. It was extremely cold outside during our stay and despite great room , we still had snow/ice coming through the corner outside wall of our bathroom which made the bathroom very chilly.

The setting is, of course, gorgeous and the hotel beautiful and full of wonderful nooks and crannies and rich history, all worth exploring. But what stood out most was the staff, who were friendly and helpful in a way that suggested they actually wanted to be working there, and actually wanted to make your stay not just nice but wonderful. Little touches were appreciated, including the provision of local bus passes to get around, and the lovely welcome gift the hotel provided when they found we were celebrating our 10th anniversary there.
