A nice welcome at Flensbad Hostel.
We were very pleased with the Flensbad Hostel. It had parking outside which was free overnight but you paid during the day. The room was small but had a nice bathroom and enough facilities for a short stay. There was a shared kitchen down the hall. The staff were very friendly and spoke english. We were able to walk into Flensbad which was a lovely old town. We would stay there again.

Goo if you live in a single room than a shared room. Shared rooms were mixed with males and females and this could be challenging. Some room mates snore at night, others make noise which could disturb your sleep

In the shared rooms, we, like any other hostel, cannot garantuee that the guests won't be snoring or making any other noise. Good place to stay
Stayed for 1 night. The hotel was overall OK. But there were no bed sheets in our room though bedlinen was a prepaid option. We arrived too late therefore there were nobody we could ask for help.

Best place for Holiday in this region.
I stayed additional two nights after booking for one. Value for money. People are very courteous, very helpful, speak good English, Need minor change reg late arrival and also some Hotel keeper to take care, in emergency or assistance for some freshers not understanding the mode of entry into hotel and also people getting locked out while using the Bath Room, in middle of night? The Box for the key, numbers are not easily legible for keying in (No sufficient light a the door), added with lack of clarity key is Magnetic device and not real key, as one expects to find? Top rooms are splendid, Hotel has been undergoing the renovation- good rooms now, Common Room TV need Remote set right? Very close to City centre.

Best hostel ever
This hostel is one of the most comfortable we have stayed at! We stayed one night at the start of our trip and were so impressed that we made sure we stayed there on the way back. It is clean and has been recently renovated. As a family, the first time we had a family room and the second we had 2 doubles side by side. In the doubles we had private bathrooms and the family room was right beside the bathrooms --- this is always the main concern when you have children. The bathrooms were so clean and modern, it was great. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen is really well appointed with great areas to sit and eat inside and out. On our second night there, the hostel was completely booked out but we could not hear anyone else at all. It is only a short 10 minute walk into the main shopping area. Our older son thought it 'the best hostel in the world as wherever you went you could get 4 bars on the internet connection' and our younger son thought 'the beds were just like home'. We would definitely recommend this to others.

Nice new room and friendly staff
This is a simple hostal, and travellers should not expect any luxury. For example, there is no elevator. However, it provides the essential needs of a traveller: a clean place to sleep. We had a nice stay and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

A well run hostel with double rooms
We were a little wary of the Flensbed Hostel & Boardinghouse. We were booked to stay for two nights. The location is excellent, very near the main street of Flensburg. In the end we enjoyed our stay there (especially when we stayed for two nights in the youth hostel in Husum!) The place is well run and we were comfortable in the double room. It was clean and warm and had its own bathroom. Parking can be a bit of a problem but on Sundays parking is free. If you are leaving on Monday morning and have one of those little paper clock indicators put your car in the car parking area opposite the hostel. Set the indicator to the start of the inspection period for two hours free parking.

Close to railway station and town. Reception not always open, and phoning the contact numbers given to get keys can be a problem as not all staff are multilingual. Extra charge for bed sheets and breakfast. Breakfast room not really big enough when school parties are there. Bicycles for hire. Outward bound hostel atmosphere, suitable for young people but older visitors would probably be better off staying at one of the small hotels nearby. Breakfast adequate, some hot food available. Self catering possible as rooms have kitchenette.

Good hotel - the room was pretty small and the linen was paid. But the room was tidy and the bathroom too. Bad thing was that for the hot water coins were needed and there is only 2 per person which is 16 mins total. Sometimes it`s not enough. Anyway we were pretty satisfied.

Funkade perfekt, vi insåg lite sent att vi blev sena och det löstes galant av boendet när vi ringde upp och sa detta, nycklen låg i en låst box och allt var perfekt! Läget var mycket centralt och lugnt!

Ostädade gemensamma badrum, blött toalettpapper i handfaten och blöta handdukar på golvet. Rörigt med högljudda ungdomar i korridorerna. Dock tyst under natten. Bra, centralt läge och trevlig personal.
