Really nice but filthy bathroom
Great room, nice hotel building and great location for the ferry but bathroom was filthy with the shower area, around the floor and near the toilet looking like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Some sort of proudly-displayed "Green is the new clean!" but I'd strongly suggest going back to old-fashioned cleaning instead of letting nature take its course in a hotel bathroom. You could literally see the splash-pattern of previous guest's urine on the glass wall of the shower (see photo). The room was large, bed was comfortable and the hotel is pet-friendly but I wouldn't use that bathroom if they paid me to stay there.

Very good value for the money
We were a family of 4. Had 4 beds and the room was very big with sofa, desk and TV. The breakfast was very good, with eggs, bacon, meat balls, bread, cake, yoghurt, fruit, cheese and so on. You can walk to center of Kiel. Free parking on the street in front of the hotel.

A nice hotel with a wonderful breakfast buffet
We had a nice stay at Hotel Kiel. The room was very clean and comfortable, but a little worn. We were disappointed that there was no fitness room as advertised. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was really nice.

internet was slow. the system throttled me and I was unable to use my computer at all due to it taking almost 3 days to complete downloading a small update. asked for a king size bed. got 2 single beds pushed up together. had to bring it up to the staff at the front desk in order to fix the disparity in what I was being charged vs what I had. mattresses were standard springs even though I was supposed to be in a "comfort" room (protip, the bed wasn't comfortable)

Rooms are good but breakfast could be better !
Breakfast staff were not helpful at all, couldn’t find anyone around to ask where things are, they were in the kitchen chatting.

Though staff was friendly and helpful, there were issues with credit card paymets at end of the stay to.cover parking, meals and other incidentals. They pretend that they are not able to process American Express and try to push for other cards.

The room was ok, and a great size. But the was sooooo much noise!! From the traffic, the reception, the lift and the stairs. We asked, if we could get some earplugs, but the staff couldn’t help.

Clean, Comfortable and Convenient
This hotel is conveniently located near the train station and ferry port, just a short walk away from both. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and helped to ensure we as a family were comfortable. Our room was spacious, clean and modern and we all enjoyed a peaceful nights sleep. We stayed over Easter, so the hotel restaurant was closed, but 400 metres down the road was a great Indian restaurant, again a credit to the hotel's location. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and would surely stay again.

Family Friendly Stay
I stayed here with my two young daughters and was very impressed with the suite we were given. It was a massive room with lounge, big bathroom and separate huge bedroom. So much space the girls played an extensive game of 'hide and seek' and could run around freely. The walk to the shops was easy with it being on the same road. The breakfast choice was impressive and tasted great. The only downside was the reception staff could be a bit more friendly. This did not have an impact on the overall stay though, we would definitely return.

Efficient, clean and quiet, just what i needed after an 11 hour drive arriving at midnight. Good parking right outside the hotel Good breakfast and helpful and pleasant staff. Will stay there again on my way through Kiel

Not bad at all!
I had low expectations of this BW, but was pleasantly surprised by both their service and upkeep. Their breakfast buffet was also very hearty compared to the usual "continental" version you see in many European hotels.

Best Western in Keil, Germany
the hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. I was there to participate in a marathon. One of the surprising but great things was that I signed out of the hotel the marathon was to start but the staff was still generous enough to allow me to return to the hotel to shower and freshen up after the run even though I was already signed out of my room.

We would use Best Western again
Best Western in Kiel is comfortable and the spacious. Excellent breakfasts - cereal, fruit, "fry-up", smoked salmon, cold meats and eggs, toast, coffee . . . evening meals are good value, though not exceptional; [all of] your bathroom is also your shower . . . which took some getting used to!

Es ist sehr schön das man seine Haustiere mitbringen darf. In der Reservierung wurde nur leider nicht darauf hingewiesen das sie extra kosten pro Nacht. Vielleicht habe ich es auch einfach nur übersehen. Ich habe einen großen Dobermann sehr lieb, was aber auf den ersten Blick nicht zu sehen ist, und es war kein Problem mit ihm einzuchecken.

Wir durften nach der langen Zugfahrt direkt ein Zimmer beziehen und mussten nicht bis 15.00 Uhr warten! Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, modern und mit einem sehr bequemen Doppelbett ausgestattet. Das Bad schien allerdings sehr in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war sauber und daher stellte es für uns und für die eine Nacht kein Problem dar. Wir würden hier wieder einchecken!

Bokade ett superior rum, vilket kostade mer än vad det borde. Rummet var stort och hade trots det endast en fåtölj. Det borde funnits ett litet kylskåp. Det syntes att golvet inte var städat när vi kom, framförallt på toaletten. Annars är det bra frukost och trevlig personal. Kudden var dessvärre mycket platt.
