Clean and large rooms. Free laundry facilities. Less than 5mins from metro/tram stops for a 10-15minute ride into the city centre. Loved the vibe of the place too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities provided in room were top notch.

Lovely boutique hotel. Close to all main museums and restaurants. Rooms are quite small but standard for European hotels. No closet or space for clothes so be prepared to live out of your suitcases. We had a small balcony. The breakfast was ample

The staff was very helpful from the time we arrived. The property is located in a beautiful area within walking distance of many wonderful sights. Our room was comfy and clean with great a/c. Highly recommend this property for your stay in Amsterdam.

Our stay at City View Hotel was extremely disappointing. While the location is excellent—close to the canals and bike rentals—it does not make up for the poor hygiene and serious safety concerns. The room was dirty upon arrival. The floor had dust, hair, and dead insects. Although we were told the bedding had been freshly changed, we found eyebrow hairs and dust on the sheets. After reporting it, staff only vacuumed the room and told us the pillowcases couldn’t be changed until the third day. The worst part was the lack of cleanliness. There was a thick layer of dust and debris under the bed. The air conditioner was covered with visible mould inside, and there was mould on the faucet and shower head. Since the bathroom has no exhaust fan and the A/C turns off whenever you leave the room, the room stayed damp and smelled musty. By the second day, we even noticed small flies in the room. The biggest issue was safety. Housekeeping left our room door not fully closed twice after cleaning. Even worse, they entered our room despite our Do Not Disturb sign being displayed. We reported both incidents, but the front desk only said they would remind housekeeping. Unfortunately, the problem happened again. The reception area also feels dark and unwelcoming. Overall, the service was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hotel until they seriously improve their housekeeping standards, cleanliness, and guest safety.
