We had the most incredible holiday. Myself and family stayed for nearly 3 weeks it was certainly great value and beautiful authentic accommodation. Friendly helpful staff and very clean.

The Putu is quite run down, but I want to emphasise that the staff were beautiful, extremely helpful and very accommodating. The photos are not true to the villas, we were very shocked upon arrival, the photos online do not truely depict them correctly. Like I said, the staff made it better as they tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Good location, close walk to beach. Friendly staff, easy check in, good wifi. Live music from nearby was a little disturbing a few nights running. Bathroom and general decor needed updating/paint peeling on the walls. Bed was comfortable, gym sufficient.

Great traditional feel to the villas. We loved the outdoor shower and the feeling of having a shower while it’s raining really nice. The room is a good size and the air conditioning worked very well. The only thing really wrong with the room would be that’s it’s very dark. Fantastic service. The staff were very helpful and on afternoon during a storm our room stared to leak from the roof and when we let them know, they immediately got a ladder and fixed the problem. It was pouring rain and lightning but they still got up on the roof and had a look. The restaurant had delicious food and drinks.

The villas are quite off the street which is nice. The AC worked well, and the grounds are filled frangipanis which gives the place an authentic feel. The rooms were a little outdated, and could do with a bit of maintenance. We didn’t love the outdoor shower area, but is fine if you’re not afraid of bugs etc.

Nice place to stay in Seminyak
We had a nice stay at the Putu Bali Villa & Spa, it was quiet and our favourite part was the pool. The staff was also very friendly.

The villa had screws poking out from the walls, the kitchen and bathroom were disgustingly dirty, the cooking pan was burnt and very old. The fridge wasnt cold, the chairs and bedsheets had stains all over them! There is someone who sweeps the entire pathways right outside of your room every morning around 6am, which i woke up to multiple times! Not happy! Complained directly at check out and they just said 'sorry', did nothing and still took all my money! Bad service. The photos look better than real life!

In great location, however, the rooms were dated with old bathrooms and not so clean mosquito net around the bed. The bed linen was extremely old and should be replaced immediately. The restaurant had fabulous food and staff.

Very nice overall but needs a facelift
Great location, very nice garden setting, really good gym & pool. However the resort is showing its age: lots of little broken things everywhere, eg the free-floating electric wire in the pool looks bad and gives a feeling of discomfort. Also, broken shower curtain rail in the bathroom and old, noisy fridge leaking water onto the floor. Wi-fi very weak in my room; had to go to bar area to work. If they just fixed all these small things, it would make a big difference.

Excellent voila in beautiful peacefull setting authentic Balinese villa with outdoor shower huge bathtub, kithchentte with good size fridge daily housekeeping with water tea/coffee topped up comfortable bed with good size tv sparkling pool with pool bar restaraunt onsite with good meals & price all staff are excellent friendly & efficient walking distance to beach & Seminyak village enjoyed our stay immensley

Comfortable & Ideal for short stays in Seminyak.
It was the ideal stay for one night about 10 minutes walk to central Seminyak and 15 minutes to the beach. Comfortable, clean, good service and good breakfast options.

I am not happy that this Hotel is on the website as a good place to stay.. This is a very dishonest statement. The photos on the website do not look like anything off the hotel, especially the rooms. We had a terrible experience there and safety was a big issue which we raised with them, and also the bugs that were in our bed everday and night, and their solution was spraying the bed with bug spray. There was stained sheets and pillow cases put on our bed when changed. We had to change rooms on the 2nd day as the electricity kept going off. The wiring is a real health & safety issue, and we advised them of this. Management gave poor service. We had something go wrong in our room everyday, and the wi-fi does not work. It was filthy and a disgusting place to stay. I've been to Bali 16 times and this was the worse stay ever, and we have decided we wont be going back to Bali anytime soon now, because off this horrible experience, and the way it was handled was very unprofessional. If this Hotel was in Perth it would be closed down straight away...

I have stayed here several times over the past ten years or so. The hotel is excellent in terms of value for money. I like its location - walk to the beach; its lovely garden setting and the individual bungalows. The only negs were that my mosquito net wasn't able to close properly and there were a few small tears in it. I wouldn't have been concerned except that there were a few mozzies in my room. The room does come with a can of fly spray however. The 'outdoor' shower was lovely and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

My hubby & I recently stayed at the Putu Villa & enjoyed our 8 days. The villa was always clean & the staff very friendly. The location was perfect because it was walking distance to restaurants, spas & the beach. We found Putu Villa to be very good value for money.

So So due to mosquitoes.
When I stayed, the internet was unstable. This frustrates me as it is very important to me. Secondly, you should expect to have mosquitos in the room. The bed does have netting, which is a must, but for me I had three mosquitos needed to be hunted down and killed during my night. They had somehow gotten on the inside of the netting. The room lights are dim, so dispatching the annoying things is difficult bc one cant see them easily. Even as I write this review, I had an email fly in front of the laptop and i couldnt get it killed. So that will pause this write-up to exterminate. OK, I am back and found seven mosquitoes inside the netting. the netting falls within one inch of the ground, so i think this is how they are entering. I used the can of mosquitoes raid the hotel provides for the kitchen to spray the critters dead. With Zika, I am a bit concerned, so I will be moving out to another hotel tomorrow. On another note, the room size is small so if one has much baggage, you will be hard pressed to find a place for it, unless you use the kitchen area which is outside the main room and fully exposed to the outside. The room is cheap but still if one cant sleep well bc one hears the mosquitoes flying around one's ears, what good does the savings do?

OK but tired .
The staff were so good enjoyed the stay BUT. The overall place needs updating. Very tired looking. Sheets and towels grey. Fell more than once on the loose pebbles in the outdoor shower. Sorry to say not worth the star rating. We were right next door to the large restaurant. So every night we had loud music until 1 or 2 in the morning and the sound of the kitchen dishes getting washed. Also we had light coming through from the resuraunt from glass brisk in the wall. Bed looks nice but was very creaky. I suggest they do away with the kitchen and make walk in showers and use the out door shower as a sitting area. The loose pebbles would be more exceptable then. Room looked large on photos but was very small. So a walk in shower would make up for it. Feel awful writing this as if it ain't for the staff I wouldn't go again. But they were the highlight of the holiday. I don't feel the 4 days were worth the $700+ .

It was not great as expected. Although you had 4 stars it is not even 2 stars according to the hotel and room condition. It was really misled by giving 4 stars. Bathroom was not clean with patched which can not be cleaned because it is made with cement. I was totally disappointed. The entrance was next to a toilet of the workers. smelly too. lots of mosquitos because of the open bath room. The policy was no refund if you cancel. So be careful. Because many people cancel after they come here you lose your money. I would never recommend this.
