I didn't like the old wing of hotel.. But was moved to new section, which was great thanks 🙏. The breakfast area needs new Toaster. Only half of one toastng slots worked . Totally unexptable.. Regards Pip Mangano

Beautiful Hotel with nice rooms, lounge, restaurant and great customer service! Very relaxed place with good food & drinks and beautiful roof top pool / spa to enjoy! All very much worth it!

I was truly pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It's a budget-friendly option, offers renovated rooms, a fantastic breakfast on the ground floor and a really nice rooftop pool. 5 mins walk to the beach and close to great resorts, restaurants and shopping malls.

Skip breakfast even if you are hungry.
I should not be complaining for a room at this price. After the rename to stark boutique, the industrial rooms were nice and comfy enough. However, skip the breakfast at all cost, bugs in the dish and cockroach roaming freely. Have stayed in this property a few times and thought it would get better. But the breakfast and bugs are still there after so many years.

Staff don't really care and busy chatting rather than check out the food on breakfast time. Sorry to say but I Would not recommend this hotel.

The property was in a generally in need of renovation which was being done. there was no hot water , the pool had no umbrillas for shade the spa was closed for renovation ,the roof only had a small window facing a brick wall. iAfter 2 nights I cut my stay short and moved to another hotel. I wouldn't recommend this hotel in its presnt state. I asked for a refund but was told it was not refundable

I stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it. For the price, it's a great value. The hotel is very close to the airport and near many shops and restaurants. The property itself is decent—easy check-in and checkout, cool rooftop pool, nice cafe and restaurant downstairs, etc. The room itself was decent. It was a bit small, and the bathroom was pretty rundown, but it had everything I needed. I would stay here again on the way to exploring other parts of Bali.

checked in after a late flight getting in, got into possibly the worst room I've stayed in my entire life. Very runed down, dirty, large fan by the window, very noisy, wouldnt stay here again if you paid me

Decorative Hotel
This hotel could use some touch ups (paint chipping). The lift was out of service during our stay. Not too much of an inconvenience for us, but may have been for others. Also, the lift doesn’t take you up to the rooftop pool. During check in the staff seemed a little distracted, but their service was good. They were quick to resolve any issue we had. Overall, the stay was comfortable. The sunset was amazing at the pool and there are many restaurants close by that are delicious.

Room was in terrible state very dirty and I won’t go in too many details but let’s say we moved out from the hotel very next morning, room was dirty, hair, dirt, bugs and some pills and rubbish ! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Close to the airport, dank and smelly
We chose this as it was close to the airport. They charge 100,000 IDR for pick up, local taxi charges just under 75,000 IDR (18,000 IDR for the taxi, 50,000 for the airport entry). The hotel staff were nice and helpful. The room was very disappointing. It smelt terrible, I believe mostly from pipes as the smell settled a bit when we ran the shower. There was a brown stain across the white curtain, the bed heads were dirty, there was no hand soap. They provided three small waters and charged for extra. At one point our key didn't work to get into our room and a passing cleaner let us in without checking any information with us. Loud at night with live music but that's to be expected in Kuta.

Very tired hotel
Where to start. Water leaks from lobby ceiling, water leaks from ceiling up to the pool and mould on walls, and the stairs had a towel to soak up water. Staff rude at breakfast. Booked a executive room, if that was executive I would hate to see the basic rooms, the electric socket had a piece of earth cable sticking out, bathroom had cracked tiles, bottom of door had started to rot, just a very shabby room. I would definitely not go back.

was an older style building with large reasonable rooms. renovations happening on the foyer so that was an inconvenience. Pity they saw the need to charge us for bottles of water that were not even supplied. big downer at check out, charged $ 20 on $2 worth of water which we were not given. unnecessary and stupid way to do business.

The room was a cave
The room was ok for the price. The problem was two fold. The A/C was not cold enough, even after complaining about it. The other one is there is a building backing on to the hotel. There is no natural light in room 230. It was Midday and could have been Midnight.

The beds were very uncomfortable, could feel the springs in the mattress and had to change rooms. The rooms were not as good as our last stay and the breakfast was also very disappointing. We ended up moving to another hotel....

Thank you for staying at J Boutique Hotel for 10 nights. It's such an enjoyable having you here with us. We are really sorry to hear that you have lost your watch. unfortunately we receives the info couple of hours after you checked out from our hotel.  The statement you refer on this online forum was a wrong accusation and it doesn't give us any positive feedback. We received notification via phone call to our reception from you that you have lost your watch few hours after you have checked out. We immediately do a search through in your room but our staff could not find your watch. We then also reported back to you immediately and you had responded positively that you can accept this condition by saying 'OK' to our staff. We assumed back at that point of time that you must have forgotten to missed placed your watch somewhere but not in our room.  I hope this small clarification may give a balance report to what we feel an unfair title calling us as a 'thieve' after servicing your stay for 10 good nights of stay with us. As you were also not in the position of sure that you left your watch in the room.

I have stayed at this hotel twice. Staff is accommodating and breakfast buffet has a great selection of Indonesian items. This last trip I had a flight at 1:30 am a rented the room to get some sleep before going to the airport. It is very close to the terminals so you avoid the notorious Kuta traffic.

Bali's hospitality but come prepared
The service downstairs with the concierge and front desk people was great and very helpful, starting off wit a complementary drink while we sorted out the room and made sure the room was ready for us. The room was big and the bed was huge. Unfortunately it was the smaller things that made the stay well just ok, started with the missing toiletries, no iron board or iron available, no hand towel or hand soap, and having to call downstairs for a hairdryer. The pool was ok, but it was a bit dirty, shame since it was on the rooftop and we would've visited it more if it was cleaner. Even though there was some ups and downs, I would stay here again, but i would bring my own hand towel and skip the pool, if its not cleaned.

Hotel pictures are not reflective of actual hotel. Hotel is old and outdated. More importantly, the room was dirty and musky. Bathroom was dirty. When we booked the room we requested a double bed however were informed when we arrived that only two twins were available. They did eventually find a double room for us after some prodding. Overall, would not recommend this hotel to others. For the price, could find better elsewhere in Kuta.

Whilst the location was great, the hotel did not look like the internet pictures. Wasn't terrible or anything but certainly looked older than on the internet. The staff had a lot of problems with english.

Dissapointed . Pics not what portrayed .. Stair upon stairs to roof top pool. Housekeeping staff were more able to assist with inquiries than hotel lobby. Aircon was very noisy . No atmosphere. Resturant down stairs staff were friendly. We moved hotels

Fantastic clean...
Nice, clean and quiet environment. Great location - 5mins to beach, 10 mins to shopping centre, 5 - 10 mins to airport, 10 mins to Kuta Beach, 20 mins to Hard Rock Cafe - all by walks. The rooftop pool was fantastic, with great view.
