Three of us were here to visit family that lives nearby. The accommodations were perfect for that. The apartment is comfortable without being fussy. The neighborhood is lovely. This is our second stay and it feels like home.
What a darling home and rental! I especially loved the welcoming music and fall scene on the TV and the smell of freshly baked bread. Such sweet touches. Cutest place, best walkable location.

We loved our stay here and are already talking about going back! Walkable to all the shops and dining options. The fresh baked bread in our room was definitely a nice touch and much enjoyed!
We had a great stay. Very clean and welcoming apartment. Great place to stay in the middle of baker city. My two dogs loved the backyard area. Would definitely stay again.
We’ve stayed at hotels, motels and Vrbo in Baker City. All were good but this stay was especially relaxing. Great location and everything was exactly as advertised. Thanks we had a great time.

Pet friendly , we had fresh bread baked for our arrival. and location made this a wonderful stop on our road trip. Clear instructions from our host Blake. Well kept property in the darling town of Baker City
Comfortable little space close to everything. Nice touches.. local coffee and fresh baked bread waiting for you. Well kept and quiet. Very responsive when we needed something extra.
We were in town to visit family over the Christmas holidays and needed a place to sleep and eat breakfasts. This was clean as a whistle, has an adorable 50s style kitchen, plenty of hot water. It’s walking distance to downtown Baker City (just two blocks). You can hear trains and an occasional clock tower bell, otherwise it was very quiet.
If you like a little old fashion mixed with current style then the Palmer house may suit you. Room 2 has old bones but is updated with plenty charging stations, adjustable bed firmness, fresh bread, Netflix, and wonderful sheets.

The room was clean and the fresh loaf of bread was fantastic it would have been nice to have 4 towels instead of just two especially where I listed 4 adults staying, and two more pillows, we found blankets but the website says sleeps 4

We throughly enjoyed thus nicely appointed guest suite in the hisoric Palmer House. Everything was clean and welcoming, there was wine available for purchase (we did not), coffee, and even a welcome gift of homemade bread in the bread machine. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meal. We enjoyed a walk around historic downtown and wish we could have stayed longer!
My husband and I visited Baker City for a weekend get away to visit family. We stayed at the Palmer House Apt 2. Very clean and comfortable place! We enjoyed the wonderful coffee and fresh baked bread they had for us when we arrived. Prior to our arrival I had a question for our hosts and texted Blake who responded back right away, so communication was great as well. We also had our dog, Steve in tow and he had a great time too! We really enjoyed our stay at the Palmer House and look forward to staying here again.
The Palmer House is wonderfully located right downtown, making it very accessible.
The only issue we had was that the Duevets were thin, so on the first night, we were cold. The manager reacted quickly to our request for more blankets, and on the second night, it was much better. We stayed in Studio 2 with three adults, which worked, but you did not have much privacy. It would be better suited to a couple alone or with a couple of children, but it worked and was very comfortable. It is a beautiful, quaint house in an excellent location.
Beautiful small unit. The unitwas difficult for a handicaped person due to the small size. I could not use my walker only my cane. The outside yard is beautiful with a gazebo and outdoor kitchen. We did not use it but it would be nice if staying for a longer time. The yard was shared with the main house.
This property is good for just 2 people. It’s a very old house, so understand that when booking. The shower sprays water from the back, which then runs into the bedroom because the floors aren’t level. They request parking in front of the property, but there was never a space available . Other tenants or guests clearly are not picking up after their pets. Poop in the front yard and backyard. A little hiccup with checking in, but Blake was quick to remedy the problem. Did request an early check in, and got no reply originally, just the basic check in instructions. Only after texting with Blake did he say early check was available. That was nice.
Who wouldn’t say the Palmer House is a charmer? Who wouldn’t “unwind” with the fragrance of freshly baked bread greeting them as they open the door to this lovely accommodation?
Who wouldn’t be delighted at the perfect size, the cleanliness and the furnishings of this home away from home?
Not me. Not me. Not me. And the hosts welcomed my 4 legged travel partner!
We immediately walked to town and two hours later walked back to get dinner.

The location was wonderful. Walkable to everything we wanted to get to. The house was authentic to the area. Bedding was comfortable, linens clean and nice quality. Nice to have a fridge abs morning coffee. Would stay here again!
