I was there for an all-day full-week course which also required separate work in my room at night, so I didn't have time to do much sightseeing or partying. I will say the hotel is very convenient to shopping, nightlife, and historical places which are all within either walking distance or 2-3 stops on the U Bahn. Service and food are excellent. Facilities are fine, nothing really fancy, but you don't pay for it, either! The bed was very comfortable. The only negative is that the hotel borders on a seedy part of town which you will walk/take a taxi through for about 7 blocks. As a single woman I was a bit uncomfortable walking but did it anyway, quickly, and with a "New York" attitude - no one bothered me.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It serves good breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The checkin and out is quick and efficient. The room does not have adequate facility for working on a computer, charging a cell phone and hooking up other electronics.
The front desk and restaurant cannot help to change large Euro banknotes into small ones for me as a foreign visitor. I have to go to a local bank to do so which is not convenient.
We needed to catch an early flight out of Frankfurt after spending time in Munich - This hotel was walkable from the train station. For us NYCers, the location to the "red light district" didn't bother us, and that route is easily avoidable. The hotel itself was a nice surprise, well decorated & great staff. They even had a comedy night the night we were there and the restaurant/bar was PACKED with locals - always a great sign.
