Al Natural Resort

Al Natural Resort

10/10 Excellent
"The resort is located where jungle meets ocean. It’s more like glamping on steroid. If you are a nature lover like me, you will love every bit of it. My cabin/hut is right at the water line facing the ocean and the back is the jungle and the whole place runs by solar. I got to know the owners of the resort Michel and Vincent, from Belgium. They are 2 kind individuals with the biggest hearts I ever met. Michel would host us every meals and Vincent is the main chef would cook us all the gourmet meals that you could imagine. The resort has hired all their staff from the village near by, and they are all kind and friendly. I wanted to drink coconut water and one of the staff just went to pick a coconut right from the tree and served it to me, fresh organic coconut water. The room is very basic but clean and spacious . The food was unbelievable delicious. Every meal was prepared with freshly caught seafood and local ingredients. The head chef is from Belgium, so all of his dishes were global cuisine. I never had a bad meal during my stay. It was like going to high end restaurants every day. I recommend to try the home made hot sauce that Vincent makes. You can walk around the resort and enjoy the beaches there or there are lots of activities for you to do everyday like tour to Dolphin bay, red frog trail, sloth watching, snorkeling, kayak and SUB , Salt Creek village, turtle hatching. Tranquil Waterfall Studio, Oceanfront with Jungle Hiking and Starlink

"We stayed at a VRBO casita on Isla Bastimientos in Bocas del Toro, and it was one of those places that instantly makes you feel at home. The owners, Jeremy and Tessa, were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful! You can tell they’ve poured their hearts into this place. The casita sits on 100 acres of farmland that they’ve been building from the ground up, and it’s really special to experience something so intentionally created and cared for.One of the highlights was Tessa’s home-cooked meals (optional, since the casita does have a full kitchenette). She offers three meals a day, and every single one was delicious, often made with ingredients pulled straight from their garden or farm. It truly felt like farm-to-table in the most authentic way. You’re completely immersed in the jungle and wildlife, waking up to the sounds of nature, while still enjoying the comfort of great amenities.Location-wise, it’s the perfect balance of remote and accessible. Red Frog Beach is just a quick 5-minute boat ride away, making beach days easy, and definitely don’t skip a trip to Zapatillos - absolutely worth it and a highlight of our time in Bocas. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic, and memorable stay that connects you to nature and amazing hosts, this place is truly something special."

"Just returned from a fantastic 3 nights at Casa Cayuco with our family of 5. Everything, from the welcome and transfers, to the smoothies/drinks, fresh made meals with local ingredients, to the excursions far exceeded our expectations. We are a mixed Panamanian-American family, and Casa Cayuco allowed us to introduce our children to the most beautiful parts of this country. I have been to Bocas Del Toro several times, but Casa Cayuco has the strongest relationship with its indigenous neighbors of any property I have previously stayed at. We definitely plan to return. "

The Ultimate Beach House (Casa Sol Y La Luna)

The Ultimate Beach House (Casa Sol Y La Luna)

10/10 Excellent
"The house is gorgeous, the hosts were wonderful, the location was stunning...THE HOSTS:Sunanda and Vincent are the best hosts. Sunanda was always quick to respond to questions, met us at the airport & took us to the dock. Left our bags there while we shopped at 2 close by markets. Went back on day 5 of 10. Vincent was always available during our stay.THE HOUSE:Pictures don't do it justice. The house is stunning. Downstairs is a nice kitchen w/ a bar & 4 stools, dining table fits 10 and a nice living room area. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths are upstairs. The master suite has a veranda overlooking the sea. The other 2 bedrooms overlook the jungle and served as a great bird blind. Beautiful hardwood throughout. Very open.THE PROPERTY / WILDLIFE:Large back yard surrounded by jungle. Visited by monkeys every couple of days. Lots of birds and fascinating insects. Geckos were regulars in and the around the house. The front is as beautiful of a view of the Caribbean as you can imagine. Truly mesmerizing and ever changing with lighting, time of day and weather. Most days were clear enough to see the mountains of the Panamanian mainland.THE ENVIRONMENT / AREA:We saw sloths, baby monkeys, lizards, frogs and butterfly's on jungle / beach walks. Being associated with Al Natural Resort allows guest to have dinner and go on a variety of excursions. Vincent is an excellent chef and Michel texted me daily about upcoming activities. Snorkeling at Zapatillas was awesome."
