"We really wanted to like this place - it’s a gorgeous, old stone chalet with great photos. Unfortunately, we were met by an unpleasant man who led us to a very small room that had a horrific smell. We tried to air the place out but it didn’t fix the problem. We asked about the smell, assuming that we be moved to a different room, but the man was irritated at our request and gave us a bottle of pine cleaner to pour down the sink drain...and that didn’t fix it. "Overall the experience was great. Walking distance to any of the restaurants, an outdoor store in case you forgot anything and a supermarket. The parking is not at the hotel itself as there are two lots (one north and one south) but you can park in front,check in, drop off your luggage then go park the car. You need to ask for the remote to the air conditioner. My only complaint for the stay is that I wish it had a mini fridge because if I want something cold for an early hike nothing opens...

"This is a no frills place to stay. That said, the staff are lovely, breakfast is nice and very good value. Our room smelt heavily of cigarettes, so we had to have the balcony doors open all night to clear it. The shower head in the bathroom was broken so it sprayed water at the ceiling and there were dead flies. That said it was functional and ok for what it is. Wouldn’t stop me going there again as a stop over."

"We stayed for two weeks in September. What a lovely place to stay. Both Montse (the owner) and the neighbours are lovely people. Oto is a very quiet village :-). Broto, next village, only a mile away has everything we needed. Small supermarket, butcher, baker, bars and I've no doubt there is a candlestick maker somewhere about. "The best thing about this stay was Pilar's (the host) hospitality! "An extremely well-run upmarket guest house with ever-so-comfortable beds. Very clean and tasteful. Bathroom area a little cramped but modern with quality shower gels/shampoo. Set in a quiet area of an attractive historic town close to the outdoor wonderland of the Pyrenees. Stay one night and like me you will want to visit again - for longer! "
