The surroundings are great but we found the hotel itself a bit overpriced. Very small room, needs a bit refreshing. Breakfast was very good and we were nicely received by all the members of the staff.

Das Hotel liegt am Ende des Ortes in einer Sackgasse direkt am Kurpark und Wanderwegen. Alles wirkt sehr gepflegt, wenn auch ein bisschen verwinkelt und „niedlich dekoriert“, was natürlich Geschmacksache ist. Unser Komfortzimmer im 2. Stock - ohne Fahrstuhl, aber mit einer breiten Treppe - war im Vergleich mit den Abbildungen relativ klein und eng. Das hatten wir uns größter vorgestellt. Die Ausstattung mit viel Holz wirkte neu und gemütlich. Die Betten - Decken, Kissen und Matratzen - waren exzellent. Es gab ein gut gepflegtes Frühstücksbuffet unter einem Glasdach.

Gut erwischt

Ich bin bei Nacht während eines Unwetters von der Autobahn abgefahren und in diesem Hotel gelandet. Es war ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter und ein bezauberndes kleines Örtchen - sicher mehr als eine Übernachtung wert. W-LAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Zimmer und Bad waren sauber, geräumig, ruhig und zum Wohlfühlen.

Hotellet var stängt när jag anlände, tfn numret på bokningsbekräftelsen var avstängt och inte uppdaterat. Jag hade tur att efter ca 15 min så kom en ur personalen gående mot hotellet och släppte in mig. Tydligen hade de stängt receptionen på söndagar. I övrigt var rummet bra och frukosten var god.

This hotel is tired and worn. The staff does try to accommodate its guests, but they have little to work with. The room was clean and adequately appointed, but everything had the feel of a hotel that saw its last renovation in the 1970's. That said, the staff did its best and the location - only a few miles from the Autobahn and in a lovely gulch - is good for an overnight near Beyreuth between Munich and Berlin.

Wir verbrachten 3 Tage in einem kleinen Appartement im Haus Gänswinkel. Diese Appartment haben wir über das Hotel gebucht. Einige Dinge möchten wir bemängeln. Wir haben ein Appartement mit 3 Betten gebucht und auch mit Balkon und Terasse. Die Terasse war vor dem Haus auf der Straße. Ein Balkon war nicht dabei. Das Appartment bestand auch nur aus einem Doppelbett. Online wurde uns mitgeteilt, das am Abreisetag das Zimmer bis um 11 Uhr verlassen werden muss. Vor Ort war es dann um 10 Uhr. WLAN Verbindung top!!!! Frühstück im Hotel war nicht besonders. Im Großen und Ganzen aber ok. Wir würden trotzdem wieder kommen.

sehr zu Empfehlen

Wenn möglich ein Appartment buchen...Küche,Wohnzimmer,Schlafzimmer und Bad. In der Küche alles was mann zum selbstversorgen braucht.Wohnzimmer sehr modern eingerichtet..richtig Schöne Möbel. Schlafzimmer sehr bequemes Bett..Kuschelige Bettdecke..der Schrank etwas alt aber vollkommen ok. Ein Fernseher ist im Wohnzimmer und Schlafzimmer vorhanden. Bad, Bedewanne und Dusche vorhanden, kleines Manko die Dusche hatte keine Halterung und wurde abwechselnd warm und kalt. Frühstück sehr lecker..mann konnte sich sogar selbst Waffeln machen. Einmal haben wir zu abend im Hotel gegessen, unglaublich lecker!!!! Besuchen sie falls möglich die Therme in Bad Steben.

Gemütliches sehr familiär geführtes Hotel in bester Lage - Nähe Bayreuth - nicht zu weit von Nürnberg - Sehr freundliche Hotelführung mit Hotel-Shuttle zu Bayreuther Festspiele! Kommen gerne wieder!

Good if you want to get away from it all

Located in a very nice area for hiking and relaxing but off the beaten path for most tourists. We stayed in the "guest house" which was clean but older and smelled musty. Also this hotel was definitely NOT accessible for the mobility impaired.

Nettes, familiengeführtes Landhotel

Das Hotel bietet sehr viele und interessante Events. z.B. Krimidinner, Candle Light Dinner, Kräuterseminare etc. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig u.a. mit zahlreichen fränkischen Wurstspezialitäten, oder Waffeln zum selbstbacken, Knackfrische Brötchen, Brezeln usw. Absolut empfehlenswert! Auch das Hotelpersonal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Man fühlt sich total wohl.
