"There are unwritten rules on this site.
The terms and conditions stated extra person staying is $20 per person per night. We only find out on second day with staff on site that there’s a hard limit of three person for our cabin. So us four staying goes against the owners insurance policy. We managed to communicate and paid $80 for the four nights and continue to stay. But the communication was not quite pleasant.
There’s no written rules about camping cartridge gas stoves or coal bbq stove. However we were also verbally advised that they were both not allowed. We note the solid fuel bbq is banned but we believe the cartridge gas stove should be allowed. We did not argue and we comply to what has been advised, did not used neither the stoves. It would be better to be transparent upfront on terms and conditions though.
I also received phone call communication from staff about my kids being noisy in the morning, on second day 8:30am. I felt this may be directed to me falsely, because both my kids were in another cabin building (where our friends stays) on that morning. There is no noise from our room.
The scooter rule with helmets on was strict. Be mindful to bring helmets for kids scooter use. Otherwise you will get tell off your scooter / balance bots / bikes.
Aside from that, the site is situated on beautiful landscape and is a peaceful place to stay. We love Denmark, one of our favourite WA holiday spots. "
"We loved our stay at Brushwood. So much thought has gone into making this a great place to stay. Lots of thoughtful touches inside, great shower and comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. What really made this perfect for us though, was the little garden, which is a haven for birdlife. On a rainy afternoon, we loved watching the firetails, honey eaters, ringneck parrots and other birds that kept popping in and out. The listing photos don’t really do the garden justice. "
"The Room was excellent for a beach location in a reasonably remote Area. The Breakfast is unbelievably Good , incredible !.
We had an issue with our overall Trip due to a Storm. The Host - “ Anna “ was incredibly Helpful to us sorting out some alternative arrangements. I would recommend a stay at Windrose if you find yourselves in “ Denmark “."
"Luxurious, clean, well appointed room and amenities. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The self served breakfast is a great start to the day. The complimentary sweet treats to have with your tea or coffee and/or a port in the evening were a nice touch. "
"Great position -a small drive to town. Lovely outlook. Little wrens and kookaburras in the trees. Could take a small dinghy as launching was just down the road. Rooms clean and beds good with spotless linen. Has wooden steps front and back so not suitable for everyone. "
A quiet comfortable space in the trees close to all the attractions of Denmark

"The Kitchen was lovely and really well equipped. looking out over the trees was so tranquil and loved the huge windows throughout. Definitely plan on staying there again."
