Hôtel 2 étoiles et encore 😬

Nuit pénible, le train passe sous la fenêtre et ce toute les 5 minutes et toute la nuit et à chaque train le lit bouge. La télévision ne fonctionne pas, pas de Wifi possible dans la chambre et très faible dans le restaurant. Pas de produits pour la douche.

Übernachtung mit Hindernissen

Das Haus ist schon sehr alt. Die Wirtsleute bemühen sich sehr, sind aber wohl mit Allem überfordert. Bei der Ankunft wurde festgestellt, dass dort keine Reservierung durch Hotels.com von uns vorlag. Haben dann doch noch ein kleines Zimmer erhalten, dass wegen einer Reparatur zurzeit nicht vermietet werden sollte. Das Frühstück war gut. Unsere Räder konnten wir über Nacht im Haus abstellen

Het hotel ligt vlak naast de spoorbaan. De kamers mijn uitzicht op de rijn zijn dus niet zo aantrekkelijk. Het hotel is erg oud van binnen. De bediening was erg vriendelijk.

Gammelt hotel. Det er meget mørkt og fyldt med alle mulige ting. Morgenmaden er meget afmålt og kedelig. Værterne er ikke godt til tysk eller engelsk.

The owners were great and accommodating! They made sure to be available even though I arrived late due to delayed trains. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel property itself is a unique stay. The only downside is that the train tracks are right next to the property so it gets loud at night, if you're a sober light sleeper. Solution: drink tons of amazing (cheap in price, too!) wine and knock out. Or hike the entire day and tire yourself out. Then the trains won't matter so much.

Very kind owners who go out of their way.

The bathroom was spotlessly clean and brand new. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazingly great. We really enjoyed visiting with the woman who owns it. She gave us great insights on life in Germany and Bacharach. Ask for a room facing the city so you won't hear the train. Close to the KD Line boat terminal and the train station.

Excelent stay at hotel Kranenturm

Our hosts werevery friendly and helpfull. We love our room over the old city gate. Breakfast was excelant. Hosts had our arrival date mixed up but were very accomodating by upgrading our room.

Sehr besonderes Ambiente des altehrwürdigen Hauses. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Betreiberehepaar! Habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt! Danke! Preis-Leistung ist prima, denn auch der Ort selbst ist sehr schön.

Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit, alles ist sauber und ordentlich. Beim Frühstück ist alles dabei, auch frisches Obst und Gemüse, was mir sehr wichtig war. Die Ausstattung ist einfach, für den Preis aber völlig okay - das Bad z.B. war dafür sehr modern und der Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer war auch super praktisch. Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass das Hotel direkt an den Bahnlinien steht, auf Nachfrage bekommt man aber Ohropax und gut schlafen konnte ich trotzdem. Die Lage ist einfach optimal. Alles fußläufig. Der Kranenturm selbst ist zudem ein begehrtes Fotoobjekt :-) Toll darin gewohnt zu haben.

Charming Hotel

The couple that runs this hotel is super friendly and very helpful! The hotel has a quaint feeling and an old-timey vintage charm. It's well located and the bed was comfortable. We were on the train tracks side and with the windows closed this was not a problem at all.

We stayed here one night. When we arrived, the door was closed. Eventually the owner came & opened it up. This place is run by an older couple so at first he told us there was a mistake & he didnt have our booking. It was settled & we did get a room. Please note: this place was recommended by Rick Steves but since then it had been sold & a railway line was build directly beside the hotel so bring ear plugs. We had ear plugs so we actually had a really good sleep. The breakfast was decent. Overall, we would stay again...the couple was nice, the bed was comfortable, the hotel has lots of character...this place has a lot of potential so hopefully things improve.

Das ganze Haus ist sehr alt und wunderschön - ABER es gehört dringend renoviert! Alles ist in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad war winzig, das Zimmer klein, kein Schrank, nur eine Garderobe. Kein TV, Betten, die durchgelegen sind.

Null Komfort

Hier ist die Zeit stehen geblieben! Wenn man sich ein wenig Komfort wünscht, sollte man nicht hier buchen. Ganz schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Hotel liegt außerdem direkt an der Bahnlinie. Alle paar Minuten rattert ein Zug vorbei. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach. Das Bad ist direkt ins Zimmer gebaut, winzig klein und ohne Tür. Kein Stuhl im Zimmer, keine Möglichkeit, Handtücher o. ä. aufzuhängen.

Incredible historic location.

Amazing location in one of the towers surrounding the city. The host couple was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and included eggs and sausage. Only drawback was the hotel was a little cold.

Lovely hosts and great location. This is an old hotel in an old building. You will need to be able to climb stairs. Room had new windows and a newly remodeled bathroom. Didn't notice the train on the town side. However, if train noise bothers you, probably don't want the water view. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, this is not for you. If you are looking for an clean, inexpensive, convenient place located in town in an older building with nice owners, this is for you.

Nie wieder, einfach nur enttäuschend

Es war eine einzige Enttäuschung. Los ging es bei einchecken, das Restaurant ist geschlossen, weil ein Koch fehlt. Dann das Zimmer, Flussblick fehlt, dafür ungestörte Sicht aufs Nachbarhaus. Möbel willkürlich zusammengestellt. Die Lüftungsanlage defekt, dafür zwei Ventilatoren ins ohnehin kleine Zimmer. Kein W-Lan kein Fernseher. Das Waschbecken im Zimmer da ein Minibad vorhanden war. Die Tür schlägt am WC an, die Dusche für Zwerge. Das Bad sah aus als hätte man solange gearbeitet bis das Geld alle war. Farbe an den Türen fehlte dir Silikonfugen der Fliesen fehlten. Die Schranktüren gingen von allein auf , das Schloß der Zimmertür war defekt. Überall war das Zimmer total verlebt. Als Besitzer würde ich mich schämen solche Zimmer zu vermieten. Für 86,50 Euro erwarte ich kein 5-Sterne Hotel. Aber dem Preis entsprechend darf es doch sein.
