I remember coming here with Cyrill that afternoon. It was December. Cold. Gray. And the motorbike drive was slow and inconvenient. I had one backpack, one sling bag, four pairs of footwear, 50,000 dong, and a busted ATM card. But this is probably one of the best afternoons I had in Vietnam regardless, not to mention all the other ones spent drinking espresso at cozy coffee shops in Thai Nguyen. At this point, I am missing everything and everyone I have had in Vietnam! The hotel was beautiful and the room very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and was served in a room with an amazing view of the city. The staff were attentive, friendly and gave us a lovely Lunar New Year gift when we were checking out. I only regret we could not stay there longer.
