  • These ruins are part of the Historic City of Ayuttaya UNESCO World Heritage Site. The three stupas hold the ashes of three important kings who ruled the kingdom. The ruins are part of the royal palace that was built sometime between 1351-1369. The ruins are very awesome to see but people do not pay much attention to signs about not climbing on them - but no one enforces the rules either. Sad to see such old architecture being disrespected by someone trying to take a perfect selfie.

Great location. The room is simple but has all what is needed and in addition it was perfectly spotless clean, even in the bathroom.No black spots of fungi growth anywhere in the seems or seals. This is really extraordinary for Thailand and a great example that this can be managed despite new customers every day. You have food stand around, bicycle hire and the next important what just 50 m away. I was just on transit on my way North and I will fully recommend this place.

The staff was really kind and helpful. The room was clean. The air conditionning was working perfectly. Our room was in the third row so it was quiet and dark : perfect for a good night sleep.

Very close to a lot of the central ruins which was great. Cafe on location which is not open Mondays. Rooms are a bit dated but for the price point and a place to sleep it was more than adequate. Would stay again if in Ayutthaya.

Lovely little place

I have stayed here before and i love it. Easy walking to anything you need, night life across the street, temples just down the road, quiet, and great staff, they also do good food and ice cream.

Amazing treatment

We arrived late at night and they received us after a call to the number at their reception. They stored our luggage while we saw the city. What really made this stay more than perfect is that after our day in Ayuttaya in the very hot weather we ask if we could take a shower and we will pay for it, they kindly offer us a shower in the back storage room and for free! which allowed us to refresh before our flight. We really appreciate this detail that made the different of our stay.

the rooms and location are ok, however, if you get a first floor room then it is uncomfortable with the heat especially in the bathroom area where the ac has no effect. Overall the general condition of the place is satisfactory, the staff are very helpful and the location is really good for visiting ye sights.

Nice and cozy

Overall my stay at Grandparents Home went well. With the heat in Ayutthaya the AC didn’t seem to keep up well, but the room and facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful if ever I needed anything. I would highly recommend eating at the Walk In as well.

Nie polecam tego hotelu. Na jego terenie występują karaluchy. Cztery widzieliśmy na pewno, w tym jeden niestety w naszym pokoju. Obsługa na szczęście zmieniła nam pokój na inny. Niestety nie przysłania to bardzo złego wrażenia.
