  • These ruins are part of the Historic City of Ayuttaya UNESCO World Heritage Site. The three stupas hold the ashes of three important kings who ruled the kingdom. The ruins are part of the royal palace that was built sometime between 1351-1369. The ruins are very awesome to see but people do not pay much attention to signs about not climbing on them - but no one enforces the rules either. Sad to see such old architecture being disrespected by someone trying to take a perfect selfie.

Amazing friendly host with great English. I loved the stay and would absolutely be back on my next trip to Ayathayya. Very clean inside the rooms with A.C. Toast and Jam in morning for breakfast along with selection of drinks. They sell cold bottled water, soda, and rent out bikes.
