Plus points
- Staff, without exception everytime I had to deal with a member of staff, from reception staff to housekeeping to waiters and barmen they are polite, attentive and helpful.
- Location - this is just a magnificent part of the world. Most of Scotland is worthy of a visit, but the South West coast is particularly beautiful.
- Hotel - The main hotel looks great in the hillside, and cottages are in a great location close to the golf courses and the beach. They are furnished to a high standard and give a real feel of luxury. There is lots to do on site, golf is amazing, walks on the beach and woods, spa and a bunch more
Negatives
Not many but
We had a two bedroom cottage which was great but one bedroom had no wardrobes or draws so I had to live out of a suitcase, also no mirror in the room
The TV resolutely refused to connect to our apple devices wirelessly despite assurances that this was possible.
We had a minor ant infestation in the kitchen on the first day when we left some biscuits out on the side.
These issues where minor as we spent little time inside but if we had to then they may have been more of an issue. I’m sure if we reported them the staff would have done all in their power to resolve the issues, but they are stated just for feedback.
Overall a fantastic hotel in an amazing location.
