Willie Mae’s Cottage at The Homestead B & B

Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Butler Cabin are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep a total of 8 people.
They are centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.

The newest addition to the Homestead is Willie Mae's Cottage. It is a rock and board/batten cottage with a tiled walk-in shower, large bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast nook that looks out on the large oak tree and swing. The stone used to complete the cottage was furnished from the original smokehouse on the historic property. This romantic cottage is furnished with period antiques and re-purposed wood from the community. Large side porch with rockers that overlook historic corral and ancient oak tree.

Includes free continental breakfast, flat-screen TV, WIFI, queen-sized bed, hairdryer, and a snack basket full of goodies.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this sweet cottage and will be back if we are in the area. The outdoor space was especially nice. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and down in the yard.

This great little property is walking distance to downtown shops and adjacent to the original Dripping Springs. Nice and quite end of street but so close to everything else the area has to offer. Loved the cottage feel

Great clean cottage and lots of space. Overall a good experience but was a little surprised at the noise level from the Saturday night happenings close by in the small downtown area. I'm a light sleeper though, so can't really say it was anything close to a bad experience. The breakfast breads were delicious!

Weekend in Dripping Springs

This seems to be one of the bigger cabins available on the property...which is lovely btw...huge oak tree to sit under and a path to the spring's stream and a natural grotto. The full size bed was comfortable, recommend bringing pillows. The breads for breakfast were pumpkin and blueberry...and yummy. There's a nice table for four or more...we had friends over to play cards...a great time was had by all

Willie Mae's Cottage

This is an absolute gem in the downtown area of Dripping Springs. Willie Mae's Cottage is constructed from the stones of the old smokehouse from this historical property, with a pine barrel dome ceiling and charming antique decor. The little porch looks out over the old stone corral with a huge oak tree. Explore the springs on the opposite side of the property and all of the downtown shops! The owner/ managers are absolutely the most lovely people you could meet! This was my second stay here and I will return!
