Located on E 6th St in the heart of Austin’s downtown entertainment district, Inn Cahoots offers stylish & spacious accommodations for large groups! This listing is for 3 combined units totalling over 7000 sq ft! Each suite has its own kitchen, living room, dining area and half bath upstairs, plus 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms upstairs! So you get a total of 3 kitchens, 3 living rooms, 3 dining areas, 15 bedrooms & 12 bathrooms (9 full). Not to mention the pool and roofdeck!

Our property was designed for groups wanting to create moments together in Austin! The hybrid hotel model allows us to offer our guests the best of both worlds: the comfort of a private living room and kitchen coupled with the standards of a hotel.
Inn Cahoots has a hotel operating license, meaning that the City code restricting the number of guests that can stay in a short-term rental does NOT apply to us! This is why we boast that we are the ONLY place in Austin that you can legally host a group of more than 6 unrelated guests or 10 adults total!
This listing is for Combined Units 1-3, which occupy the entire first and second floors of the hotel. They each have their own kitchen, living, dining area and half bath downstairs, plus 5 bedrooms (w/ up to 13 beds) and 3 full bathrooms upstairs. Altogether, that's 15 bedrooms (w/ up to 39 beds) and 9 full bathrooms!
The other great thing about these units is that the first floor living spaces are separated by retractable walls that can be opened or closed to combine the downstairs living spaces. They also have exterior facing, frosted-glass garage doors that open out onto the pool veranda, creating an indoor/outdoor feel.
Finally, Units 4&5 are the smaller, single-level suites located on the third floor. They each have 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, along with their own kitchen, living, and dining area. Unit 5 has the added bonus of a private, outdoor patio area!
Note: All five units are fully self-contained and private. The pool will be private to each unit for 3 hours every day, scheduled online by the groups. Each unit also comes with a private cabana on the roofdeck.

In addition to your own three private units (the entire first and second floors), you will have access to:
- Pool & Pool Courtyard Area, which will be available for your group to privately reserve for 3-hour time slots each day of your stay!
We will meet you for check-in and show you around the property. After that, we will give you space but are available should you need us for any reason. We are always happy to help make local recommendations, as well!
Our hotel is located on East 6th street, an area frequented by food and drink enthusiasts in Austin. The street is filled with great bars and restaurants as well as breweries and coffee shops. It is also within walking distance to the historic "dirty" 6th street area, Rainey Street, and West 6th street. We're also a short drive from South Congress, Barton Springs, and Town Lake. This is truly the perfect place to enjoy what Austin has to offer!!
There are plenty of ways to get around Austin, with or without your own wheels:
- Walking! You are in the middle of it all
- Ride sharing options with Uber or Lyft to get anywhere around the city
- For short trips, hop on one of the dockless electric scooters currently operating in Austin including LimeBike & Bird
- CapMetro (Austin's public transit system) is the easiest way to explore Downtown and the greater Austin area on the cheap. Single bus rides start at $1.25 (transfers not included), while day passes run as little as $2.50. You can buy tickets online, at most grocery stores, or through the CapMetro app, which also gives you up-to-date travel information.
- Prefer open-air views? Pedicabs can be an easy way to navigate Downtown at night and on the weekends and are best just hailed from the street. Most pedicab drivers prefer cash, but some take cards.
- If you’re a lover of the two-wheeled lifestyle, Austin B-cycle, the city’s docked bike system, has more than 75 kiosks dotting Central Austin, one of which is located on 6th Street! You can sign up for 24-hour access at the kiosk for $12.
Every unit is equipped with an iPad that connects to speakers for wireless music control!
The pool is small (about 8x24ft). It's perfect for cooling off during the hot summer months in Austin, but is also heated so it can be enjoyed year round. Your group will be able to privately reserve the pool for a 3-hour time slot each day of your stay!
We have limited on-site parking available for our guests (3 spots), but there is plenty of metered street parking nearby and offsite parking can be arranged by request! The on-site spots are first-come, first-serve.
- We charge a $25/person/night extra guest fee for each guest over 15 in this unit.
- Events such as weddings require pre-approval, and we reserve the right to charge an additional fee for such events.
- Please contact us in advance if your party includes children under the age of 18 because we sometimes host bachelor/ette parties in adjoining units.
- While we often host special events with photographers and videographers, any professional filming or photoshoots that take place onsite require advanced approval by the property owner. The distribution or posting of videography or photography taken onsite without permission is strictly prohibited.
