Perfect little hideaway outside of Austin TX. All the amenities in a small town, with everything you need to have time away, but just close enough to the city to get out and explore!
We loved our stay. The house was very clean and perfect for our family of 4. The kids (5 and 3) enjoyed sleeping upstairs and exploring the property. We enjoyed saying hi to the goats and donkeys on our walks and playing on the playground. The house is close to so many great kid friendly breweries and restaurants, highly recommend staying here!
Our stay at Wanderin Star Farms was absolutely amazing! The location was breathtaking, offering the perfect mix of tranquility and adventure. It was ideal for our young family—we brought our 3-year-old son, and he had the best time exploring the beautiful surroundings. The property itself is stunning, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special, from the fresh coffee beans to the fire logs and starters. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for families and anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!
Had no problems finding the property/checking in. The property manager checked in with me to make sure we found everything okay which was appreciated.
It was a cute tiny home that was well kept and so was the property around it. I went with my family including a 16-month-old and we enjoyed meeting the animals and exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommend!
We had such a great time staying here. My wife and I were in the area checking out local wineries and breweries. There is both a winery and brewery less than a mile away and another three less than 2 miles away. Ideal location in awesome little house and Setting, I believe there were seven tiny houses, two yurts, two cows and two donkeys. There’s also a playground for kids and a pavilion and hang out area. I definitely recommend and we will be back.
Stay at this property now two times and I’ve stayed at a lot of tiny houses in the area. This property is one of my favorites, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, good accommodations. Was able to add an extra day with no issue, which was wonderful communication with the host is about as easy as you would like it to be. Property has several other little cabins on it to stay out if you got a family to bring out there just a great place. Do not think you’d be unhappy.
We spent the weekend in Dripping Springs to attend a wedding at The Prospect House, which was just down the road. Josh was helpful and responsive to all my questions; everything (check-in, etc.) was as he said it would be. The cabin was very clean and accommodating for me, my husband, daughter and son-in-law. When staying with others, keep in mind that the one bathroom is in the master bedroom (it was fine for us). We also enjoyed walking the grounds and visiting the animals.
Just what I was looking for when I stay little bit of peace and quiet. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Austin area. The kitchen was adequately stocked. If you’re like me, I like to bring and cook my own food. It gets old eating out all the time when traveling. The patio was nice to sit out on and do some work.
I don’t know how many other cabins they had on property, I saw a few. If you are traveling as a group, this place would be perfect. There were a few other cabins on property all within walking distance of each other. Overall, just a very nice layout.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a Wandering Star Farm in one of their charming tiny houses, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Tucked away in a serene natural setting, this little retreat provided a unique and memorable getaway. The tiny house was well-equipped with modern amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable bed, and was surprisingly spacious enough for all of us. Communication with the property owner through VRBO was seamless. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, adding to the overall stress-free experience. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic retreat or a solo traveler seeking a peaceful escape, this tiny house offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and natural beauty. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another rejuvenating stay.
I stayed here with my husband and 2 children (ages 8 and 2). In a word, it was perfection. You feel off the beaten path but so close to everything Dripping Springs has to offer. It was quiet and secluded and totally private. My kids loved the playground and animals, and did not want to leave. The one concern we had before getting there was the A/C. Would we be cool enough in the July heat? It was cold! They really make sure you stay cool, including portable fans which we didn’t even need. We will be back.
