The Williamson County Courthouse in downtown Georgetown. Site of the 1923 trial of several members of the KKK. As a result of this trial and the later election of the attorney, Dan Moody, to State Attorney General and the defeat of other Klan canidates, the Klan's strangle hold on Texas politics was broken for good. This win helped to turn the tide against the Klan across the nation.
