We had a great time. We caught a lot of fish out of Autrain Lake. Superior beach was just down the road and nice and sandy..looking for falls is always fun. Jake and Erin were wonderful. We would recommend it.
Relaxing atmosphere.....except the flies but once we cleared them out it was great!!!! Plenty of places to hike! Great location enjoyed Au Train lake then a few miles we were at Lake Superior.
The house was perfect for our snowmobile group. Access to the trail wasn’t great because of the warm temps and early season riding. Later season and more snow would help in that regard. We were very comfortable and the huge living area easily accommodated all of our gear. A row of helmet hooks along the back wall is the only thing we’d add. Very well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Wifi was strong enough to stream movies and having two full bathrooms was great. We’d definitely rent here again. I bet it’s amazing in the summer!
Location was great right on the lake. Easy access to trails. Could have used hangers and a little better heating upstairs the front area was a little drafty or the tables to play cards or eat was at.
Thanks David
We had a great time! The place was big enough to accommodate 6 adults and 3 children. One bedroom was too cold to use but we made it work with the others. It was a little difficult cooking with the what was available in the kitchen but we managed. I think this will be an awesome place to stay in the summer!
My family and I just finished our vacation in AuTrain. It was our first time in this area of the UP. We had a blast! AuTrain lake has a mostly sandy beach that gets deep very gradually. Perfect for young kids! Erin is a pleasure to work with and she is very helpful. She provides maps and brochures of local attractions. The cabin is well stocked with the basics. We enjoyed spending time, fishing, at Lake Superior, my kids went bridge jumping, renting kayaks and paddling down the AuTrain river, visiting a few of the area waterfalls, driving into Munising and spending time at Miners beach and taking the Riptide Ride (This was very fun! But somewhat misleading. The boat ride tours you around the pictured rocks along Grand Island. But it does NOT take you to the main pictured rock along the mainland. So I ended up being a little disappointed. Having said that...our guide was very knowledgeable and the sights were beautiful! Hint:sit on the left side of the boat when facing the front of the boat). I would recommend staying here!!!
Managers are helpful. Clean and neat. Lake access makes it good.

Great couples weekend.
Home had everything we needed for four couples for a great weekend. Close to lots of things to do around Munising. Only thing I would note is the walls are thin if you have snorers and like sleepers plam arrangements accordingly. We would go back summer or winter. Great place. Very clean.

Great lodge for our large family!
We absolutely love staying at the Lombard Lodge, and have been staying there for a week each July for about 20 years, and over 30 years in total staying in cabins with this host family. There's plenty of room for our expanding group of family and friends. The lodge has a great open common area for the whole group to get together, share meals, and have fun. It's on a terrific lake, and there's plenty to do in the area. The hosts are the 3rd generation of family ownership, and have always been very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Awesome location for snowmobiling with easy access to trails
We stayed at the Lombard Lodge with our family. Lots of room for seating and eating. Lots of beds for 6 of us. Very clean and all the right amenities. Flat panel TV, fireplace, porch for watching the sunrise, plenty of parking for snowmobile trailers and two bathrooms was great after long day of riding the trails. Erin was awesome to work with. Very accommodating. Gas and grocery store close by (a.k.a. mini Wal-Mart in Au Train)
I recommend the Lombard Lodge!

Great location for snowmobiling
The house was nice for what we needed. Easy access across the lake to the snowmobile trails and plenty of room for trailers. The fireplace inside was great for drying off gloves after a solid day outside. Erin was very helpful and always available if we needed help or had questions.

Just what we needed!
We went up for a couples snowmobile weekend and had SO much fun! Erin was an awesome host and always available if we needed her! There were six of us and we had tons of space (could have had alot more people for sure). Plenty of seating for our meals in, cozy with the fireplace and also great seating for lounging and laughing and drinks after a long day on the sleds. Quick trip to lots of good spots to eat! We look forward to coming back soon! Thanks for having us!

Wonderful place for a group of8 to stay.
I have stayed at the Lombard Lodge with a group of friends for a long January weekend of cross-country skiing for the last 12 years or so. The lodge has ample beds and two full bathrooms and accomodates 8-9 people. I especially like sleeping in the "porch" room so that I can see the sunrise over the lake. We typically bring our own food and cook in the kitchen. There is a fireplace and plenty of seating for socializing. The owner/manager is easy to work with and the lodge is always clean when we arrive. Restaurants and stores are 15-20 minutes away in Munising.
I would recommend the Lombard Lodge for a quiet get-away.
