Really enjoyed our stay with the kids. House is close yo a lovely beach, water falls and great towns. House accommodated our group of 10 very well. Beautiful views of Lake Superior!
we loved our stay at this cabin! the kids had a great time trying to skip rocks. We loved how close we were to the activities we already had booked around Lake Superior!
Great location and absolutely stunning sun rises over Lake Superior. Was comfortable for a large family. Would recommend a few extra blankets on beds and better pillows but overall really happy with our stay.
We had a very nice and relaxing time staying at this Vrbo. Love that there were five bedrooms and three bathrooms so each couple had their own. Nice kitchen and living room and laundry room also. The view from the large deck was amazing!!! We would definitely recommend staying there!
Our family/extended family consisting of 7 adults and 5 kids comfortably stayed at this perfect lake house for several nights. We were able to do numerous day trips for hiking, beach time, beer tasting, and much more. The house was as expected and we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend!
Amazing property! The views of Lake Superior never get old. We had 9 people (6 adults, 2 children, and 1 toddler) and a dog, and we never felt cramped. The balcony was wonderful and we spent a lot of time hanging out there. Would recommend this property to anyone!
Four generations enjoyed this beautiful location for an unseasonably warm early March weekend. Plenty of room to make memories and still have your own space to breathe. Open floor plan was perfect for cooking, eating and playing games together without being too crowded. The view of the lake is phenomenal. The location is close to plenty of outdoor activities for the entire family.
Our stay was filled with fun being together and beautiful being right on the lake. I loved the view from the deck, overlooking the water. The kids had plenty of space to run and play and the adults enjoyed the restful atmosphere.
We explored rivers and other lakes to fish and kayak, played at the beach in Au Train, enjoyed Grand Island on the glass bottom boat, and had plenty of kitchen wares to cook with ease and eat well!
Stayed with a few friends to celebrate my birthday! This was a great house with amazing views! The balcony is awesome! Just wish there was some type of covering for when it rains.
We loved our trip and felt the location, with the views from the house, made the whole vacation sooo much better! It was a fantastic view of Lake Superior right from the living room, deck and firepit! We had easy drives to many of the waterfall hikes and short drives to a different restaurant every night. You do have to be able to handle taking stairs when coming and going, but if that isn't a problem for you, we highly recommend this place.
Great place on a Great Lake. Absolutely beautiful lake view. Was not bad getting to the trails from the cabin. Actually, a nice warm up run before the trails! We were a little hesitant on the parking situation with having big trailers. After we put on our big boy pants it was no problem at all. Might a been a little tricky if there would have been larger snowbanks. In the end, the place was great. Full filled our needs.
We loved our stay at the blue lodge. Amazing view of Lake Superior. Could sit on that deck all day and watch the Lake. Nice grassy area for kids to play, and the sandy beaches in Au Train are amazing. House is very comfortable, kitchen well equipped, comfortable beds. The stairs were a little scary with a toddler who doesn’t know he’s a toddler, and the water in showers had a strange odor. And the pics showed the stairs so just need to be careful. Thankyou! Hope to come again

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Quiet and peaceful
The view of Lake Superior was amazing but the deck was in serious need of power washing. The ceiling fan had large chunks of dust hanging off of them. The kitchen sink while clean had stains so it didn’t appear clean. Updates need to be done
Overall good. Great location. House was older with self renovations that allowed a big family to all be there. Down graded for overall cleanliness and furniture/bedding was old and uninviting. didn’t provide a lot of supplies ( had to buy paper towel, garbage bags) . I think upgrading furniture and linens would go a long way.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Lodge. My family repeatedly thanked me for booking it. Being on Lake Superior is an experience everyone should have! Except for a few issues, we would book it again. I had seen a recliner in the pictures and have a brother that needs to sleep in an upright position but when we arrived, there were only very low couches. The beds were very comfortable for the rest of us. Since we were all seniors, it would have been good to have a railing on the stairway. Overall though, we loved our time there!
Every member of our group was in awe of the location & the view! Even with a house relatively close there was the feeling of complete seclusion.
No white noise needed on first two nights as the sound of waves against the shore was all we needed. Slept with windows open all 5 nights!
Launched our own kayaks from shore & paddled to nearby (2+ mi) Au Train Island. Launching from rocks was a bit tricky and could only be done when the water was calm.
Will definitely plan on going back.
Only 4 stars because things just werent as nice & supplied as we are used to at other short-term rentals.

We had a wonderful time at Cory‘s property. The house was very spacious and accommodating. Three bathrooms with showers made it very easy for everyone without any problems in the morning, and when we were turned back to the house from our explorations. The bedrooms were all well spaced out and cozy. And for the kids, more importantly, the Wi-Fi was very good.
The house was stocked with everything we needed, and we were very much centrally located between Munising and Marquette. Although we did not have very good weather this week, there were plenty of options of things to do to fill our time, and it was quite amazing to see the change of weather patterns right on the shore from the house. I, myself, enjoyed getting up in the morning, and then upon return in the evening to wade out into Lake Superior for a chilly soak in the 41° water.
Cory was very responsive and provided great information of the area.
While I don’t anticipate us coming back to this part of the UP, I do highly recommend this property as it is an amazing location and we had a great overall stay.
Overall we had a positive experience. The location was great and there are so many winter activities to keep an active family busy. The property was clean and the kitchen well stocked.
Our only negative (and it’s a biggy) is that the lower level, which has 3 of the bedrooms and 2 baths, as well as a family sitting/TV room was virtually unheated. The exterior door was ill fitting, letting in so much cold air. There was a gas fireplace, but when we attempted to start it, it set off the carbon monoxide detector. We quickly shut that down!
A suggestion to the owner, invest in 4 electric oil heaters, 1 for each of the bedrooms downstairs, as well as the sitting area.
We were unable to use the downstairs except for sleeping and used all the extra blankets provided.
We luckily had a warmish weekend, and I can’t imagine if the temperature had been the normal for late January.
3 generation get together. There was 7 of us and we had a lot of room and we definitely love the area. The Lodge property is beautiful and the view! The house is large and roomy. Upstairs could use some TLC the bath especially. The stairs from lower level to upstairs are unusual we did get use to them but no rails and you have to duck when you reach the floor. The dining area is cramped it has a table for six which is needed but one of the chairs is wobbly so we didn’t use it. There is china cabinet that is filled with collectibles but is in the way. The deck is huge and has many tables and chairs but the deck rails iffy for small children or small pets which we didn’t have. Now to the stairs! The rails are way too low and we had to be very careful. There is a beautiful swing by the water edge but no other seating for the grounds except a picnic table and wood stumps to sit by the fire pit. Chairs would of been really nice. So we would not had to bring chairs up and down the stairs. Such a beautiful piece of property. Just be aware of stairs. Would love to see upstairs updated. Our weather was fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay.
THE HOUSE LOCATION RIGHT ON THE LAKE WAS FABULOUS..WE ENJOYED ALL OF THE WATERFALLS AND LIGHT HOUSES IN THE AREA. IT WAS EASY TO FIND AND ENJOYED OUR STAY. WE DID HAVE A FEW ISSUES THOUGH. WE DIDN'T ARRIVE UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT AND WHEN WE GOT THERE, THE WATER WAS NOT WORKING. I DID NOT WANT TO CALL THE PROPERTY MANAGER SO LATE SO MY HUSBAND WHO IS VERY MECHANICALLY INCLINED THOUGHT TO CHECK THE FUSE BOX AND THE BREAKER FOR THE WATER WAS OFF SO THAT FIXED THAT. WE WERE TOLD TO PUT OUR GARBAGE IN THE DUMPSTER WHICH WE COULD FIND BETWEEN THE HOUSE AND THE GARAGE. THERE WAS NOT ONE TO BE FOUND.. IT SHOWED UP 2 DAYS LATER AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY. WE WERE GOING TO GRILL CHICKEN ON THE GRILL AND THE GAS WAS EMPTY SO I CALLED TO FIND OUT IF THERE WAS ANOTHER TANK SOMEWHERE...I GET A RECORDED MESSAGE SAYING THEY WERE BUSY AND TO LEAVE A MESSAGE OR TO TEXT THAT NUMBER SO I AM STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONS TO MY TEXT MESSAGE THAT WAS 4 DAYS AGO. WILL WE GO BACK TO MUNISING FOR VACATION, ABSOLUTELY. WILL WE STAY AT THIS PROPERTY AGAIN PROBABLY NOT
