Beautiful 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths on sound and walking distance to beach and shops


Just read the reviews for this beautiful five bedroom, five and one-half baths with expansive sound views. Our goal is to make this vacation one to remember and the reviews reflect it!
The 4th floor has a bonus room as well as king bedroom and bath. The views are incredible! The 3rd floor has 3 bedrooms (king, queen, twin) and 3 baths and some have views of the sound. The 2nd floor has a living room, dining room and kitchen with counter seating. There is a porch and deck off this space for bird watching and looking at spectacular sunsets! The king bedroom offers sounds views and a large bath. There is a half bath on this floor. The first floor has a two car garage with a Nema 14-50 for charging electric vehicles. There is also an elevator.
There are many reasons you may be content to stay inside but you also have great options to get outside and enjoy everything Cottages at Bay Ridge in Atlantic Beach has to offer. The boardwalk (approximately one-third mile and right next to our home) which leads to a covered gazebo on our private island on the sound. Fishing, crabbing, paddle boarding, or picnicking are all possibilities while enjoying the outdoor beauty. You are in walking distance to shopping, pool, restaurants, bars and grocery store. We are accommodating and try to respond quickly if you have any questions.

We stayed here for a week with 10 people - 6 adults and four kids 4 and under. It was a spacious and clean home in a great location. We walked on the boardwalk to the small private island, drove 5 minutes to Memorial Beach, and checked out lots of other nearby places - Beaumont, the aquarium, Fort Macon. Perfect spot for a family trip.

Beautiful , spacious house in a lovely neighborhood. It is located Right next to the private walkway onto a small island owned by the neighborhood.We enjoyed the close proximity to the food lion and several great restaurants like Monkey bar and Table 9. The neighborhood pool was enjoyable as well.

Daughter's wedding weekend

This was the perfect location for my familt yo stay for our daughter's wedding weekend. Perfectly situated for all activities from rehearsal dinner in Morehead City to the wedding and reception at the aquarium. It was perfect. The house is AMAZING!!! The pictures don't do it enough justice, because it's so much larger in person!! From the amenities to the beautiful decor throughout this house is really spectacular!!

Beautiful property clean great location near the pool and within walking distance to beach about 1/2 miles away. We had a group of 7 and slept comfortably and had enough space to spread out to have alone time as well. The elevator was convenient for heavy suitcases and bringing in groceries. Fabulous home

Our family spent the Christmas week in this beautiful home. It had everything we could need and more. Very spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. While the cold weather prevented us from truly enjoying the lovely porch, we hope to return when we can bask in the beauty of the sound side views as we drink our morning coffee. Memorable Family Vacation

The house was just beautiful, and well furnished. We enjoyed the home as there was plenty of room for all of us. The elevator was a nice touch, too. The pool facility was near by which was great with the kids. We were able to visit the beach and explored the town and we were close to shopping. We took a trip to Beaufort which was a car ride away. All in all it was an ideal home/area for a quick get away!

Lovely place for a weekend getaway

We booked a fairly last minute weekend getaway for our two families, with 5 kids ranging from age 4 to 16. The place was in a great spot with walkway to a private island on the sound - great for fishing and exploring. The place was spotless and kitchen well appointed. Kay was wonderful and got in touch with us throughout our stay. Public beach access is about a half mile walk or an easy drive. Highly recommend this lovely home!!

Family of 8 with elderly parents and teens. The home was perfect. Everyone had their own space and the location was great. Kitchen had everything we needed and the sound side view was great. The boys loved taking a walk to the private island and fishing. Everything was clean and well appointed. We would definitely recommend this home and Kaye was very helpful! Family Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental. The place comes stocked with everything you need. We had a party of 7, and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The screened in porch got lots of use as well as the beautiful community pool. The elevator was an added bonus. Kaye was nice enough to leave a sheet with recommendations of things to do as well as local restaurants. We would definitely recommend this rental.

Over all great place

Kitchen was good, I was able to cook a complete thanksgiving dinner (I did bring a roaster). I missed a few things but I would certainly call the kitchen well equipped. We had a lot of trouble regulating the temperature in the house but that was the only problem we had. There was plenty of common space and bedrooms. The elevator was great, there are a lot of steep stairs. The sound is beautiful and there is a lot to do in Atlantic Beach.

This was an amazing home. The views of the marsh and Sound are beautiful . Our group of 8 adults had plenty of space and our own bathrooms! It is a light filled home with all the amenities you could want, and a quick walk way over to FoodLion. (Sidewalk) The owner Kaye was easy to reach and helpful in every way. We enjoyed the pool easy access, and a huge dining table for playing games. I hope we can stay again. I already miss the sunsets and the dock walk next to the house out to the small island shelter.

Wonderful home in an ideal location

Our group included a number of elderly folks (5 of our 8 were 65 and above). The elevator was wonderful for getting our luggage and groceries up from the garage AND it was appreciated for the ones over 80 that had trouble taking the stairs. HUGE amenity to have in the house! We LOVED the location and how convenient it was for shopping AND walking to the water on sound side. And it close to get across to ocean side of the island as well. Great communication and tips from the host before our stay, as well as being available when a couple things came up during our stay. We will stay here again if we have opportunity!

Beautiful Sound Views and Access to Shopping

Our family met at this GORGEOUS home for our Summer vacation from VA and NC. The whole well-appointed kitchen area, dining and open great room provided a great space for a large family. We also had a lot of fun on the screened in porch and walking the 1/3 mile to the sound side pavilion. The best feature was the elevator to get all the gear up to the kitchen and rooms, but it was especially helpful for my Dad who has trouble getting around. Our only issue was that we did not find a short cut to get to the beach. I'd suggest driving to the public beaches for sun and fun. Enjoy!

Super place for a reunion!

This was a wonderful property. Large enough that we all had some space. Enjoyed the screen porch and its wonderful view.. Kitchen was a great space for 8 people hanging out and chatting as meals were prepared. Would have liked 2 more chairs suitable for the dining table, as the house was advertised that it could hold 10, and we were eight. But we made due. Really appreciated that the property could handle 4 cars, and a tear-drop trailer. It just fit in the garage, out of the way for the 5 days. Atlantic Beach was a perfect spot for easily getting around.
