Cozy Cabin in the Big Woods of North Idaho
Welcome to our cozy cabin nestled in the expansive woods! This one-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat is situated in the serene forests of North Idaho, just four miles from Athol. The cabin combines modern conveniences with a rustic charm, featuring on-demand hot water, a contemporary kitchen, luxury vinyl plank flooring, custom cabinetry, an electric fireplace, and vaulted ceilings, all enveloped in tongue-and-groove pine, providing a homely yet rustic atmosphere. We have a gravel parking pad just for you, but you will have to cross the grass to get to your front door!
Accommodating up to four guests, the cabin includes a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a twin-sized futon, and an inflatable full mattress. Conveniently located between Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint, it is merely seven miles from Silverwood Theme Park and ten miles from Farragut State Park. The cabin is also in proximity to several lakes, including Lake Pend Oreille, Spirit Lake, Twin Lakes, and Hayden Lake, all within a 15 to 30-minute drive. If you have a boat, there is ample parking available. This charming cabin backs onto 2,000 acres of National Forest, allowing for immediate hiking and exploration. For those seeking relaxation, the screened-in deck is perfect for enjoying coffee or cocktails around the propane fire pit, with stargazing opportunities once night falls. Wi-Fi is provided, though it may be inconsistent at times. Additionally, games and a TV with a DVD player and a selection of DVDs are available for your entertainment.
If you are towing a camper but wish to take a break from camping, we offer plenty of space to park your RV while you enjoy your stay in the cabin. For ATV enthusiasts, there is also room for parking. The cabin is located just 12 miles from the Bunco trailhead, which grants access to the expansive 726,000 acres of the Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District, perfect for riding and exploring the scenic beauty of North Idaho.
The cabin is situated across the lawn from the main residence, ensuring privacy for our guests. We have two friendly dogs, Rascal the basset hound and Legend the German Shorthair, who serve as our greeters. They enjoy attention and affection. While we love dogs, we do not permit other pets to prevent any potential conflicts. Please drive cautiously, as our dogs are not very aware of traffic. Thank you!

Highly recommend this cabin. Beautiful wooded surroundings, quiet area, not far from stores and restaurants. Would stay again at this cabin if I'm back in the area.
We stay here every year when we visit Silverwood and could not be happier! The property is immaculately clean, has an easy check-in/check-out process, and friendly hosts who care about making your stay as comfortable as possible. Easily one of the best properties we've stayed at on VRBO!!
Though the place was a tiny bit confusing to find, it was worth it. Place was clean, cozy, and very private. Homeowner was pleasant to talk to. Location was great as it was quite close to Silverwood.
What a cute little cabin in the woods. Everything was super easy. It was really clean and the main bed was really comfortable. I would definitely recommend for a small family and we will definitely be back! Thank you! (My kids favorite part was meeting your dogs)
Nice private location off the county road. Very clean and cozy. Spent our days at Silverwood so didn’t have much time to enjoy the peaceful setting. Mosquito netting around the porch was nice to keep those pesky things away!
This property was the perfect place to lay our heads after 2 days at Silverwood. We're a family of four, so the futon and air mattress worked well for our kids. Restaurants and supermarket in Athol had everything we needed.
We were awoken early both mornings, once to chainsaws at first light and once to a friendly dog barking at the front porch for a playmate.
Overall good stay and great location.
Kimm was so incredibly accommodating of our family, we rolled in late and had no service to message her and she came out and helped us right away - we were so grateful. This space is even better than we had thought it would be and it's right in the beautiful forest. We spent 3 nights here and tackled Silverwood with the kids, and it was the perfect place to lay our tired heads at the end of those busy days! Thank you so much Kimm!
The cabin and area are gorgeous (and I am in Colorado). The cabin has everything you need. Outside is the forest and up to the road are mountains. The property managers are awesome (so are Rascal and Legend…their dogs) and know what they want for people have a great time in north Idaho. Definitely I want to go back. Everything you want to do is just a few miles from the cabin.
It was a nice getaway. I did need the wifi so the unreliability of it was a little frustrating. The house was clean and the hosts were prompt with responses to any questions I had. Overall, it was a really nice place to stay and I would stay again, although I would not count on doing my homework while there.
What a fantastic find! This house feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere and is only 10-150th from Silverwood. The family that owns the property is very kind and accommodating they got everything ready for us to have a fire when we got back from Silverwood I was sad that we ended up to tired to actually roast our marshmallows. We will be back!

The tiny cabin was a good place for a quick stay during our time at Silverwood and only 15 minutes away- and a nice drive at that! The tiny cabin is closer than we realized to the property owners home and the road noise was louder than expected for being pretty far down there. The cabin was nice and stayed cool. The pull out bed (just the couch, no mattress) is small but our two kids managed. The owners were very quick to respond and helpful and left plenty of notes and recommendations inside!
