About this property
Stylish 1BR Retreat in Central Athens
The apartment is close to public transport (next to metro station Aghios Ioannis) and the city center. You will love the apt because of the neighborhood, the bright bedroom and the comfy Queen bed. My place is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.
We’re excited to share a new upgrade to the apartment: high-speed fiber optic internet with speeds over 300 Mbps is now available for your convenience.
The Bedroom has a Queen bed, a closet, hair dryer, clothes iron. The Living Room has a comfortable Sofa, a single bed and a Flat TV, while the Kitchen is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and all kitchenware needed to prepare a nice home cooked meal for your friends and family. The bathroom is nicely lit, clean, with a bathtub.
The whole apartment is fully air conditioned while there is also a boiler to provide you with hot water for 24/7.
Of course the beds are already made-up, with fresh ironed sheets from top quality brand. Furthermore there are clean towels for every single of you.
Entire property has free Wi-Fi!
The Agios Ioannis METRO STATION is three-minute walk and giving you the easiest possible access to Acropolis (two station stops) and Syntagma Square (three station stops). Attractions not to be missed: the Acropolis Museum, Plaka old historical neighborhood of Athens, Monastiraki flea market, the Temple of Zeus, Dionysiou Areopagitou walk, the Temple of Ifaistos and the Herodion open air ancient theater.
Although a helpful guide map will be provided to you, I will be ALWAYS available for any help that you might need. Check-In & Check-Out times can be 'stretched', depending on the other bookings.
The neighborhood is very safe and family friendly. Downstairs in a 300 meter radius, you will find: a BUS STOP, a Bank, an ATM, a Post Office, a Pharmacy, a Cafe, a Bakery, a Super Market, a Butcher and a Grocery shop.
The apartment is located very close the center of Athens, also at a walking distance to most of the famous ancient landmarks of Athens, :-) I have tried to make the apartment an oasis in the center of Athens but even I can't completely eliminate the traffic noise especially during rush hour :-(
Early check-in, late check-out, and late check-in after 00:00 are available upon request, subject to availability, and come with a small additional fee.
Transfer service and private tours are available upon request

We were met by Lefteris (sp?) for check-in. All went well and we were allowed to leave our luggage in the apartment, as we arrived early, while the apartment was being cleaned. Mano reservations were very helpful in booking a food tour and a tour of the Acropolis. Everything went well and the service was excellent.
The apartment is in a vibrant, very bustling neighbourhood with a grocery store and cafes nearby. We walked everywhere- do not drive in this area. We walked to the acropolis, the gardens, the museum, popular touristy places (plaka and monastiraki, flea market, Athens central market plus more. The apartment was very nice to come back to.
My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The place was very clean and close to a metro station to go anywhere in Athens. The street was a bit loud at night due to lots of motorcyclists riding at night, but with closed windows and air conditioning running this may not be an issue. The host was very accommodating. The only thing is if you are two people who are not a couple, let them know to have two separate beds ready. Otherwise, it’s a very nice place to stay in Athens.
George was great with communication! The location was within walking distance to the Acropolis and several other sites. The location was within walking distance to a grocery store, great bakery and several good restaurants. The only things that were tough were the sofas in the living room and the bedroom mattress. You could feel the springs when you sat on the furniture. Other than that, it was a very nice apartment.
We stayed here for 2 nights before our cruise. The apartment was very clean and comfortable and is located in a very safe area.
There's plenty of room for up to 3 adults. FYI: There's no bathtub and the concrete shower is quite small, but it gets the job done.
It's located super close (2-15 minute walks) to restaurants, coffe shops, supermarkets, bus stops, and the Metro.
We got a public transport pass for less than 5€ and took the Metro and buses to town center and Olympic Park. Everyone was super nice and helpful with making sure we were on the right bus and train.
Transportation was even arranged from the airport to the flat and from the flat to the cruise port. The driver was unapologetically 30 minutes late picking us up from the airport, but the driver who took us the the cruise port was prompt.
This flat is the perfect spot for a stay in Athens.
George and the team are super accommodating and promptly responded to all of our requests and inquiries.
Awesome non tourist place to stay in Greece, local restaurants and shopping close as well as the subway station to get anywhere you want. Host was very responsive and gave clear guidance/instructions. 10/10 recommend.
Really nice and good communication. Love the place actually. We had one issue with 2 streets with the same name? Not sure what happened here but I phoned the company and they sent me the correct google maps so all good. Just beware. It's only a couple of hundred metres from Neos Kosmos

Bad
Terrible beds very uncomfortable , no hot water in the shower. Bugs. A huge water bug found in kitchen. Not allowed to flush toilet paper down.
Well equipped apartment. Excellent communication with owner who conveniently offered service of transportation to the airport for 45€. Grocery nearby was helpful for meals at home. Only negative was getting lost from subway to apartment.
Somewhat clean. No bedding for couch or day bed, even though telling host there would be 2 women. We were not advised no elevator. Had to carry heavy luggage up and down staircase. The Part of the city was questionable and very noisy at night. The wiring was bad, blew up my heating pad and blow dryer, ended up throwing those away.
The overall aesthetic of the place was great. It was very cute, clean and decorated nicely. The apartment is on the first floor, and there is no elevator, so carrying a 50 pound suitcase up the flight of stairs was interesting. The neighborhood is very urban and lively. But strangely, the noise at night was not overwhelming. I was a little concerned about the location in neighborhood being rough, but we never had any issues. My only real complaint is the size of the shower. It is tiny. Very tiny. It’s hard to get clean without bumping into things and shaving my legs was impossible. However, the tiny shower doesn’t bother you that I highly recommend the place
The apartment was clean and as advertised in a great location for my sister-in-law and I to stay for a few days while in Athens. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are coffee shops and a small supermarket right across the street. The sheets were clean and very comfy but the towels could use some replacing. The metro is very close as well or was an easy 20 min walk to the Acropolis. George was very responsive and gave wonderful recommendations on restaurants. The AC worked well! Our only complaint is we couldn't stay longer.

Lovely apartment close to historic sites
We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay in this lovely apartment.
Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and accommodating, making sure that we are comfortable and have everything we need in the apartment. The owners of the apartment, Sophia and Tony, gave us a ton of tips on must-see sights, cozy bars and close-by towns to visit.
The apartment leaves nothing to be desired. It is equipped with all sorts of appliances and household items such as a washing machine, an iron, a hairdryer etc. which we thought was highly convenient.
One thing we'd like to mention, though, is that the apartment is not wheelchair-accessible and might also pose some problems to very tall people. The apartment is on the first floor (2nd floor for you Americans out there!) and there is no elevator. The bathroom is rather narrow with a low ceiling and a rather small shower. This was not an issue for us, but someone who's taller than us or dependent on any kind of mobility aid would probably have serious problems using the bathroom/shower.
The area surrounding the apartment is not exactly pretty (busy roads, abandoned shops, apartment blocks), but its close proximity to some of Athens' most iconic historic sites more than makes up for it. Two Metro stations (Aghios Ioannis, Neos Kosmos) are within walking distance. From Aghios Ioannis it is only three Metro stops to the Acropolis area. From Neos Kosmos you can take the tram that runs along the Athens Riviera.
There are various supermarkets, kiosks, bars, restaurants and a post office close to the apartment, which was a plus for us, too. I should also mention that we felt quite safe in the area, so while it is by no means picturesque, it is a convenient area to stay in if you want to get around town quickly and easily but don't want to be in the very busy center of the city 24/7. We loved coming back to the apartment after a busy day in the city to cook our own dinner, have a glass of wine on the balcony or simply escape the August heat.
We'd definitely stay here again.
