Hotel Colinas del Sol

3.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (86)
"Hubby and I enjoyed our stay - great service and people are so very helpful. Not a typical hotel - the standard rooms do not have AC, but they do have cross winds once you open the windows and sliding doors, if this is not enough, turn on the fan. Showers a slow draining but nice hot water, so just adjust how much water comes out and you should be fine. The food was good. We also discovered it was
pet friendly
. Walking distance to town but no shade so be prepared. "

"Diana started us off, and owns this beautiful property. Letecia was great about communicating with us, and Carlos was so friendly and such a hard worker. It was peaceful and relaxing, and beautiful. We loved having Chico, the
cat
, Muneco, the
dog
and Kira, Carlos's
dog
, visit us! I would drink my coffee in the mornings while Chico had his milk and kitty treats! Muneco also liked the kitty treats and chicken. It was a great time!"

Huge Spanish Villa with Volcano views, surrounded by nature and wildlife.

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (7)
"I can not recommend this property after the stay we had. The beds have been eaten through by bugs. There is no pool. The thing they call a pool is a disposable joke. It’s a mosquito farm from the 80’s. There are water reservoirs and holding spots throughout the expansive property so the bugs have plenty breeding grounds. We were bleeding by day two. The host says “costa rica has bugs” but I live a mile away from this house and NO. The gym pictures has a gigantic dying truck in the middle of it...
