"This is a tranquil property on the St. John's river. Rooms are clean, comfortable and updated. We enjoyed listening to the frogs croaking at night across the river and watching the light change at sunrise from the balcony over coffee. We saw a morning space shuttle launch from the property too. It is about 12 minutes from restaurants and groceries in Deland. There is no breakfast served but there is an ample mini fridge/freezer in the rooms and a microwave so we bring a few snacks, a bottle of wine and breakfast supplies. The office has snacks and drinks too. Deland has plenty of restaurants, bars and a few museums to explore. There are several State Parks with Springs nearby and Volusia Speedway for dirt track stock racing. "

"My wife and I were staying here for our sons wedding. I couldn't ask for a better weekend. The hotel was very convenient to everything. We were in walking distance to the wedding and reception hall. Also 1 block away from several breweries and places for live music. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The hotel had a restaurant of its own. It served breakfast and dinner. There also was bar/lounge in the hotel that had jazz type music. We stayed in the suite. It was newly done and very roomy. It had a good sized living room, fridge, wet bar, coffee area and a very comfortable king size bed. There was a little noise from the restaurant/bar, but tolerable and it didn't stay open too late. Overall a great place to stay."
