"We arrived via the not fit to drive at night broken road and upon arriving decided NOT to stay even though we had paid. The hotel pics must be very old as it looks like something from a horror film. Flaky paint, badly kept gardens and flies in our room. We handed back the key and left. The road to the property is horrendous. Don't even think about going anywhere for dinner and back....it's not safe....awful"

"The breakfast was exceptional. A large variety of fresh options, including home grown produce, was very tasty. Gluten free options were available. The ricotta omelette was superb. Greatly enjoyed the garden surroundings and the sparkling pool, including the friendly dog. The very friendly owner provided easy transport to dining options. "What an amazing property! The place is absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The reception staff and service was excellent! Everyone was accommodating and extremely helpful. The food was delicious. The pool was great, and the private pool was luxurious. The saddest part was that we couldn’t stay longer! Thanks for a wonderful experience!"

"Casa del Poeta was probably our favorite place we stayed during our two-week trip to Sicily. It’s in a lovely, peaceful location with plenty of parking, which made arriving by car really easy. We loved the story behind the property and all the thoughtful details that went into the decor and experience. The bed was especially comfortable and we slept so well. The pool was also incredibly peaceful and relaxing, a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The location worked really well for day trips around the area. The host was incredibly helpful and offered lots of good advice. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the region."
