Along the equine trail at Slate Run Metro Park, great sections are covered by a bright green perennial, appropraitely named, water horsetail (Equisetum fluviatile). What looks like grass at first glance is actually an odd plant that is more or less a living fossil that reproduces by spores rather than seeds.

Not your typical hotel lobby. It's a hangout, for guests and for the community. The rooftop bar gives a speakeasy vibe, but where everyone is welcome. And the room - probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Delightfully cool and relaxing.
