Relax in a serene, private, cottage setting nestled in Historic Montford. Surrounded by trees and charming homes, you'll love how close you are to downtown while feeling tucked away in your own cozy paradise. This newly renovated efficiency suite comes equipped with it's own entrance, private porch, dedicated parking, sitting area, kitchenette with breakfast bar, and bath.
This second floor suite has been recently and completely remodeled and offers filtered water from every fixture, brand new furniture and amenities including dedicated wifi, a mini split for your heating and cooling needs as well as on demand hot water and a smart TV.
Historic Montford lies just north of the city center and is one of the most desirable places to live and stay in Asheville. It is a charming, scenic, residential district close to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. It is ideal for taking leisurely strolls with a green-way on Reed Creek just a block from this carriage house and a park across the street perfect for picnics and people watching. Several eateries offer a variety of menus and libations within walking distance including Nile Mile, Chiesa, 5 Points, and All Day Darling. All of Asheville including the River Arts District, downtown, the South Slope, East side, and West Asheville are a mere 5-8 minute drive from your accommodations.
Guests will be given a unique code to access their unit and have the entire second floor to themselves including a private porch and back entrance which only they will use. Guests access the shared laundry facilities using a key via the ground floor of the adjacent building.
You will have one dedicated parking spot in the driveway. There is also ample unrestricted parking nearby on the block for additional cars.

Self tanner and acne treatments are prohibited. Please wash makeup off with designated washcloths before bed.

Close to downtown and lovely place!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a romantic anniversary getaway and absolutely loved it! We stumbled upon Lani’s place and instantly knew it was the perfect spot. Just a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Asheville and nestled in a quiet, cozy neighborhood, the location couldn’t have been better. Lani was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and attentive. The property itself was spotless, charming, and incredibly cozy. We truly enjoyed our 3-night stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat close to the heart of the city!

Great place to stay in Asheville!

My wife and I were looking for a place in Asheville close to downtown but private and in a nice neighborhood. This place checked every box. It was cozy and comfortable, and the proximity to the Reed Creek Trail was a big bonus. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning!!

This place was amazing! Beautifully renovated to include some the original/antique qualities of the property. My fiance and I enjoyed every moment of our stay, from gazing upon the brick "castle" next door the moment we arrived to relaxing and watching TV in the evenings and everything in between!! We loved it and definitely recommend staying here!

I want to live here!

This was my second time visiting Asheville and I will always try to stay at this apartment when I’m here. The location was perfect and the host did a great job providing anything a person might need during a stay. We loved walking around the gorgeous neighborhood and just about everywhere we wanted to go was 5-10 minutes away.

What an amazing space. Beautiful. Clean. A whole house in a small space. Took a bath 2 nights in clawfoot tub. Not to miss. Great location in Historic Montford. Host was especially helpful and made checking a breeze.

Cozy little apartment

The location was great. Lani was easy to work with. There is a set of stairs you have to carry luggage up. We had no trouble but some people could. The apartment is beautifully decorated with lots of homey touches and very well equipped. I would happily stay here again.

Thanksgiving visit

Our accommodations were better than expected! The unit was thoughtfully decorated and every detail was considered. The location was ideal in a quiet neighborhood close to everything Asheville has to offer. The best part of our trip was our the host! She was responsive to all of our requests and provided excellent recommendations for things to see and do in the area.

Great landing fir a busy weekend.

The Nest was a cozy and charming place to start and end our busy days. Spotless, well equipped with lots of special touches —coffee, tea, cocoa, nice toiletries. Comfy furnishings. Could be a nice walk to downtown, or better yet—quick drive to free parking at the Visitor Center and just a short walk over the bridge. Will come back!

Montford nest retreat!

Wonderful experience!! The place was meticulously designed and space maximized. So many thoughtful touches made for a beautiful relaxing retreat feel. The bathroom tub & shower were a slice of spa heaven and did not disappoint! Kitchen had everything we needed. The host was super responsive and had on point suggestions. We plan to go back. Retirement Vacation

I cannot say enough about Lani and her property. My experience was beyond wonderful. I was in contact with Lani months before I arrived, she always responded timely and with great information. She even worked with my former co-workers for a lovely surprise upon my arrival. Her property is beautiful and felt very cozy and home like. Very thoughtfully decorated and clean. She leaves clear instructions for her guests and makes herself available should a guest need to contact her. I highly recommend her property for a stay and I myself, will be returning. Charming, Elegant and Restful✨

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage nestled in peaceful, tucked-away Montford/Asheville. The moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The neighborhood is perfect for leisurely walks, quiet, yet close to everything we needed. Dining out was a breeze, with so many fantastic local restaurants just minutes away! The cottage itself was immaculate and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable with soft, luxurious linens that made for some of the best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I was also so grateful for the pure, clean water from every tap—it felt like a little luxury every time I poured a glass. One of my favorite parts of the stay was relaxing in the tub after a day of exploring. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully appointed, and those baths became a cherished part of my routine. Afterward, I would drift off to sleep so easily in the peace and quiet of this perfect little nest. The host, Lani, was extremely helpful and more than accommodating. She was very quick to respond. Lani is a real pro! Thank you Lani! I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a serene, comfortable, and convenient home base in Asheville!

Lani was a very communicative host! We were impressed the amenities/extras included at the rental. I forgot my hairspray, and there was some available to use. There were several other things available that we don’t tend to see at other rentals. The linens were also very cozy! We loved how close to downtown the rental is, while being in a quiet and peaceful part of town. It was a great stay!
