This motel has been TOTALLY remodeled and the family has done an awesome job! The owners are very pleasant and have done most of the work themselves. The view from the back balcony is gorgeous. There's lots of nice seating areas outside too. I would highly recommend staying here . I will definitely return.

Great Stay!

Loved the Carter Lodge in Chimney Rock, NC. It is clean, quiet, and newly renovated with very friendly staff and a great location. We could see Chimney rock and the river from our balcony. In walking distance to the town which had great restaurants and stores. Only two things I didn’t like and nothing big, need black out curtains on window facing the road due to outside lights and lower shower curtain to keep floor from getting wet. Other than that it was great!! We will definitely go back.

Excellence Stay!!

Everything was wonderful! The room was new and decorated and a modern rustic style. Everything was well thought out with the room design, although not large was very efficient and comfortable. We had an exceptional view from the deck of chimney rock and the river below. We left behind a few items and the manager Linda called twice to make sure we knew and offered to send our items to our home address. The location was fantastic at the end of the restaurant s and shops . It was quiet and peaceful there. We would definitely return whenever we are back in that area. Great job, Linda!

You won’t find a better property in chimney rock. They did a great job with the updates to the grounds and the rooms. The “backyard” is amazing. The only negative to come by is the $50 charge to check in early. $50 for a couple hours? If the room is ready, let the guests in! I know it’s policy and I get it. Lots of hotels try it, just pet peeve of mine when traveling. Again though, just an amazing spot!

The Hotel was great, Very Comfortable King size Bed, Great A.C., Super clean, only 1 thing bad the person above us,second floor was Stomping So Loudly, Could Barely sleep! Very Loud Stomping thought he was going to come through the roof sounded like he was playing basketball
